All,

there's been a lot in the media lately about how Karl Rove thinks that McCain's ads have "gone too far" (a euphemism for lying) with regards to Obama.  At the same time, Biden has come out and said that one of Obama's anti-McCain ads was a mistake.  Now, I already know that Biden is capable of saying just about anything to anyone at anytime - but I'm surprised at Rove - he's always struck me as much more intelligent - or, at least, someone that thinks more about what he's going to say before he says it.  My question is, why do you think that Rove said this?  I can't see how it helps McCain at all.

Please post a link proving he really said it.

If he did say it, he said it because that's the way he encouraged Bush to respond to anything and everything.  That is why the left, including the MSM, was free to trash our President ad nosium since the 2000 election with nothing to counter their vitriole.  Karl Rove is a RINO just like those running the GOP and is responsible for alot of the negative left vs right diatribe.

'A euphemism for lying' - those are your words, not Rove's.  "Gone too far" doesn't necessarily mean lying, at all.

I don't recall him having said that but if he said it on Fox News which i am not sure that he did, i'd like to see the context.   I can almost see him saying something like it regarding the tone of the campaign.   I believe the tone can be laid at the door step of the left...as usual.

Come on folks.  I know there's not a whole lot of respect for the MSM around here - but there tons of clips of Rove saying that McCain went too far.

ok..so it is just as I said.  Karl Rove is a RINO.  Let's not fight to win.  How would it be if the coach told the wide receiver to walk the ball into the end zone, not to ever run, not to evade a tackle..just walk that ball?  Geez, Mr. Rat, I could care less about what Karl "stay on the high road" Rove has to say about anything.  He's partly responsible for the viciousness of today's argument and he is gone from the Bush administration.  He should just go home, sit on his porch with a nice quilt over his lap and count the stars.   His opinion means nothing, nada, zip, zilch..

You have to understand one thing.  This is not a Republican site.  This is a Conservative site.  Most of us do not feel a sincere kinship with John McCain or the GOP.  Because he is a RINO and the RINOs are running the GOP (including GWB), most of us have felt the party left us.  Karl Rove is not now nor has he ever been my hero and I'd be surprised to find very many, if any, conservatives on the RLF who consider him remotely close to being a hero.

Rat, do some homework on conservatism, Bush, Rove, and Rush Limbaugh then you won't make statements like that.

Karl Rove has been given the reputation he has by the likes of rat and his friends.   I'm sure Karl has given good  advice in his time to his 'employers'.   But he is now a Fox contributor and that is his position.   He is not a republican apparatchik.
