I agree about McCain's speech at CPAC. There was no substance to it. Really the only thing he promised was to not raise taxes. He never actually agreed to back away from his amnesty plan, or fight global warming laws, or repeal campaign finance reform. Basically his speech was "I know you're mad but I really don't care because I won." And the sheep in the audience went right along.

And considering Mr. "Read My Lips" Bush, we've no reason to believe him on the taxes.

John McCain does not work with conservatives.  You notice that there has never been a McCain/Thune, or McCain/Inhofe or McCain/DeMint bill....

McCain does not compromise with conservatives.  He only reaches out to liberals.  He despises conservatives in general and Christian conservatives especially.

McCain won't change.

I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN!

I'm inclined to agree. History is the best judge of what the future will look like. Just like he got mad at us in 2000, if he were to barely scrape into the the White House, I do believe he would target Rush and Sean for revenge and would allow his rino friends to oust conservatives from the party completely.

I was telling one of my friends overseas about our two-party system and how McCain is using Hillary to scare us. She said it was the stupidest thing she ever heard. Democracy is crap if we are blackmailed into voting for those we don't like and forbidden to contend for those we do.

McCain has been furious with conservatives since 2000.  It is true that a very nasty attack was perpetrated against McCain in South Carolina in 2000.  I am not sure if was ever proved who was responsible for this awful smear but one person from Bob Jones University got involved and thus McCain has hated Christian conservatives ever since.  The slime who launched this attack deserve to burn in hell and the idiot from BJU should have his head checked.  But McCain is the one who has held a burning grudge for 8 years.   That is not healthy and it tells us a little about John McCain's personality.

Well, one thing I know from living abroad for around 12 years is that they don't understand us and we don't understand them.  We look at government differently than almost everyone else in the world.  I have lived in 4 countries and found this to be universally true.  Most foreigners are "ruled."  We are "governed."  Most foreigners just don't get the idea of natural law and inalienable rights.  We are founded on those principles.

We can't be blackmailed into anything.  We can be deceived but they can't make us do anything.  John McCain is going to learn that this November.  I really believe there are just too many real conservatives who will never vote for this man.  The democrat nominee will be our next president.
