Rush talked about this today so I thought I'd let everyone know about this book called Why Evolution is a Fraud: a Secular and Common-Sense Deconstrcution. He picks up where Ann Coulter left off in Godless.

Thanks for sharing this information.  I just got through reading Ann Coulter's 'Godless', and I must say that I was very surprised at how much of it she devoted to the subject of evolution.  I thought her book was a great read; and this new book sounds interesting.

I like to read anything about religion, even if it proselytizes.

I also like to read anything about science, even if it has questionable theories.

I WILL NOT read religious proselytizing clumsily disguised as science.  It's disingenuous.

This book DOES NOT push any religious agenda; in fact this aspect is what makes it unique from almost every other book that challenges evolution: the author does not push an alternate theory. This is clearly stated in the subtitle 'a secular and common-sense deconstruction.'

I understand your reluctance, but I thought it was refreshing that the book did not turn into the usual science versus religion stalemate. He isolates evolution and forces it to stand on its own.

No problem. It seems like the media has chosen to ignore this part of Ann's book in favor of a few sentences about the 'Jersey Girls.' One-third of Godless is devoted to dismantling evolution yet I've hardly heard anyone in the media talk about it. Have you noticed this too?

Are there really people out that still don't believe in evolution? That is scary. Please tell me why you do not believe in this theory. If it is just because of faith then say so.

I don't believe in Evolution.  I think it's one of the biggest sham's in scientific history.

There is 'zero' proof to support evolution, and why would we just 'think' that humans can change form over time?  Where do we see the scientifc basis for that in our world?

I think the theory fit a mold that anti-christian liberals wanted, so they put in in schools, and slowly shut down the debate despite the absence of facts supporting their theory.

I will freely admit that I'm a christian, but I honestly don't need religon to tell me that man doesn't morph from ape to human over time.

The theory of evolution or as us bio majors like to call Natural Seletion can never be proven correct. The scentific community trys to find evidence against our theory and try to prove the theory wrong. As we gather more and more evidence the theory just gets stronger, it is never fact. Who knows one day it may be proven incorrect but until then it is the best theory we have to date and it has stood up to the experiments trying to disprove it. I will never be able to convince you to believe this theory because you lead your life with faith. Someone tells you something is true and you have faith it is the truth. I on the other hand I lead my life with reason and critical thinking. When someone tells me something I try to find reasons why it is wrong.

So what evidence do you have to support Evolution?  You can't reason something from which there is no evidence.

I can't possible give you the evidence, it would just take too long. You are basically saying teach me 4 years of a BS in biology. But you can educate yourself. Go to Wikipedia: Charles Darwin, Origin of Species, Mendelian genetics, Gregor Mendel, Galapagos island (finch birds), Ealry industrial England moth model. Anthropology skeletal evidence starting with Lucky all the way to neanderthals and Homo sapiens. I mean after 4 years of learning this stuff I think I would have figured out if it was a cover up by the liberal media. Saying give me the evidence is like me saying disprove the evidence provided in the texts. It is just not practical in a forum like this.
