All the illegals come here because the U.S is better than Mexico(or where ever they come from) right?
Not all, a distrubing number come here because they are in trouble with the law in their own country. Still more come here to engage in some kind illegal activity - drug smuggling, gun running, moving other illegals across the border.
Why are they giving up on their own country? How does coming here and abandoning their country's problems help improve it?
They are not concerned about making things better in their own countries. They are concerned about making their own lives better.
They should work to make their country better!! The first successful US colony was Jamestown in 1607. So we became the best most powerful country in 400 years starting from absolute scratch. Why won't they try to improve their own countries which by the way are all ready started?
Well, I wasn't going to bring up our colonial period, because it is an imperfect analogy to our problems today at best. However, since you brought it up, ask yourself this question:
How did the pilgrims and colonists of the 1600s leaving their home lands in Europe and coming to America and settling here, improve/correct the corruption and social injustices that they were fleeing from in the Old World?
