No, you must have read that headline wrong.  Clearly all the spacecraft we have sent to Mars are responsible for the warming there.  The spacecraft that actually landed are burning EXTRA polluting fuel created by Cheney specifically to destroy the fragile ecosystem on Mars.  The spacecraft that augered in sent huge plumes of ejecta into the atmosphere to combine with the extra pollutants in a special, patented Cheney formula to cause additional global warming!  Cheney wants to destroy the UNIVERSE!

Based on absolutely nothing, I will now make a prediction!

Again, no reason to think this will happen, but I predict a major volcanic eruption somewhere on the planet in the next decade or so.

Why do I think this will happen?  Because an eruption like Tambora or Krakatoa would put an abrupt end to all talk of Global Warming, and leave the Global Warmists looking foolish.  At this point, I'm putting my faith in God and geologic upheaval because facts and rational thought are obviously no longer of any use.

So, if you're like me and you simply want to stop hearing about Global Warming, and how anything causes Global Warming, and, in turn, how Global Warming seems to cause everything (at least, everything bad) -- then join me, and cross your fingers for a devastating volcanic eruption, our last hope for the salvation of science and reason.

Let me get this straight, if I can.  You predict something but then don't think it will actually happen?  Predicting and wanting something to happen are not exactly the same thing.  You are speculating that IF a major erruption took place it would lead to global cooling like the last few mega-erruptions did.  

I agree that facts and rational thought don't apply much to the Great Global Warming Lunacy Cabal but I don't see a lot of "rational thought" in your last post either.  I am NOT going to pray to God and ask him to harm millions of innocent people for decades to prove the point.  There may be "kinder, more gentle" methods remaining.

I was just trying to think of something that would put an abrupt end to the debate so that I would no longer have to hear every putz in the media blame everything that happens on Earth on Global Warming.

After 2 decades of bogus predictions by Global Warmists (NYC should be completely submerged by now), I don't see why I can't make my own predictions.  After all, their predictions and mine are based on the same degree of reliable science.

Just voicing my frustration is all.

But you are a conservative and a Global Warming Heretic.  You don't deserve the right to exhale CO2, must less speak.  

You have a point about the “reliability” of the science they use.  In 1988 Ted Danson (Cheers) predicted the world’s seas would be dead in 10 years.  His prediction was off a bit.  Nineteen years later the oceans are still alive.  

Somebody ought to build a list of whacko predictions that have failed to come to pass.  Frankly, the list would be enormous but it would make for entertaining reading.

I've been going through old posts looking for something in particular, but I saw this very first post of mine & thought I'd bump it for anyone interested/knowledgeable about statistics.

It was Rush's acceptance of the so-called "fact" that temperatures have risen over the last 150 yrs that led me to this forum -- because I wanted to find a way to tell Rush that he was wrong without having to pay to join Rush24/7.

I know that Global Warming is not really on many people's minds right now; but it will be again when Obama's (Coal-Bankrupting) Cap and Trade proposals are passed.

The numbers that I use or refer to in my original post are still the same; and the statistical problems with determining a "Global Average Temperature" are still the same as well.  

I figured I'd bump the post if anyone is worried about Cap & Trade Regulation -- which everyone should be because it will unequivocally, unquestionably, and unforgivably flat out DESTROY the entire U.S. Economy if implemented as Obama wishes (or even if implemented as McCain planned to -- lest we forget).
