The Other War - Parts 1, 2 and 3

The border between the USA and Mexico is a very dangerous place and many Border Patrol Agents have been injured there by attacks across the border.

The only solution is to deploy several battalions of National Guard to the border where these attacks happen most frequently.  Of course, those in government have NO INTENTION of ever securing the borders so this will never happen.

I would love to see some Military Bases relocated down there. When I close my Eyes visualize a Canal running from Brownsville TX. to San Diego, Ca.

I don't know if a canal would help.  After all, we have the Rio Grande and that doesn't seem to deter anyone.

The problem is that the Mexican government is utterly corrupt.  It will take a strong response from the US to deter different elements of the Mexican mafia from taking the risk.  At this point, the deterrence is virtually zero so they are incredibly brazen in their actions.

If a Mexican Army patrol escorting drug dealers were to encounter a ambush on this side of the border and we could display several dead Mexican soldiers along side their drug smuggling buddies with a couple of tons of dope that might send a message.

But, in the real world, we haven’t had a politician in the last 20 years willing to think about watching the border much less defending it.

This country needs a Vlad Tepesch.

Maybe as President of an independent Texas.

Maybe not so much.  But, you have to admire a guy who knows how to stake out a position.  Not to put too fine a point on it but this guy could really stick it to his enemies.  This guy wouldn't let people flip-flop on the issues.  He would just nail you down and make you stay put.

LMAO
Wow, you're sharp.  I'm transfixed by your piercing wit. You really know how to get to the thrust of the issue.
It's good to know you don't have a stick up your a$$.

You know, what they say, though: Spare the rod, spoil the Mexican. (what goes up must come down) But I know that you're an optimist, I see an a$$ half empty where you see an a$$ half full. ...... ok, I'll quit now (but that's just the tip of the iceberg, baby)

(I don't want to sound stuck up, but I have many truly penetrating insights that I could run up the flagpole to see who salutes.  You've raised the bar, but I really know how to fit a square peg in a round hole.
I don't want to be a pain in the a$$, but I'm not the just the latest poster to come down the pike.

Well, I should pack it in.  I can't hang around here any more, or I'll be up sh!t creek & I need that like I need a second a$$hole.

Wow, I really hoisted you on your own petard.)

Oh, for the good old days of Walachian Princes.  At least then we only had to worry about the Ottoman Turks.  Frankly, Hillary would have scared the turbans off those guys.
