The Nuclear Threat of Iran

The Nuclear Threat of Iran

Postby dittohead on 07/25/07, 7:54 am

I am linking to an excellent article by Thomas Sowell.  He compares the pacifism throughout Europe during Hitler's early years; to the growing pacifism in America today.  History reminds us that there are consequences to pay when we do not step up to the challenges that are clearly in front of us.

I pray that this is one challenge we do not react to after the fact.

I'm actually somewhat hopeful that we don't need to worry about this too much.

Obviously, I recognize the pacifism and appeasement of most Americans. However, even if the U.S. does not invade Iran, or entirely disable Iran's military (either of which, I would support AND recommend), I have little doubt that we would at least send air-strikes to disable Iran's nuclear sites/nuclear abilities.

Even if WE, France, and the U.K. don't disable their nuclear capacity.  Israel will.

Obviously, intelligence, satellite spying, and most of all TIMING, are crucial to any of the scenarios I suggest.

Yes, Israel may do what they did to Saddam years ago to Iran, since they don't recognize them, with help in the last sentence you stated. Now that's facts. Very good Eyas. Yes Israel sent jet bombers to Iraq and destroyed the nuclear site there with no shots fired back. Complete surprise.

There is no need to go to war with Iran. Things should be accomplish on a small scale basis using elite forces. You want Irans nuclear capabilities taken out use long range missles or a small demo team. I won't support a war unless I am will to go there and fight it myself and frankly I not to concerned with Iran.
