The Cost of Pulling Out our Troops

The Cost of Pulling Out our Troops

Postby dittohead on 07/21/07, 8:48 am

Rush had an interesting monologue the other day.  I am embellishing just a bit, but his general thrust was that  he would be happy to join the liberals in calling for a pull out of our Armed Forces, if the liberals in congress and drive-by media would agree to repeatedly broadcast a split screen on all the news networks of:

1.  the liberals in congress in celebration toasting each other, while the other half of the screen showing Al-Quaeda leaders shooting off their weapons in victory shouting 'death to America'.
2.  'Dingy' Harry, Hilliary, et. al. on the capitol steps will big smiles congratulating each other, while the other half screen shows major cities all across the Muslim world with young people burning American flags and celebrating the great victory over those 'weak minded' Americans.
3.  The return of our dejected troops, disenchanted and abandoned, by a congress who have constantly put them down and brought them home before their job was done, while the other half screen shows an unprecedented recruiting boom by extremist terrorists who have been emboldened by the weakness of American leaders.
4.  Tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens been slaughtered in the streets, including children and women, as extremist factions are now unrestrained, with the other half of the screen showing our liberal leaders explaining how they have now made America safer.

Which of the above do you think will not happen, if we pull out our troops before their job is done?

I wouldn't be suprised if the liberals agreed and then backed out on their side of the bargain.  We know they'll never show the 'truth' if it makes liberals look bad.

I know Rush made the comments rhetorically, but I could see the press taking him up on it.

hey another cost of pulling our troops out would be loosing face with the world if we loose the respect or better yet the fear that certian other nations have for us we would be in dire straits.  For starters China would be at war with Tiwain in less that 48 hours because all they would have to fear from us  would be endless sanctions not worth a hill of crap. and heck we already have a large trade deficit with them.
You let a nation think that they can walk all over us, and they will, we have got to continue to show the would that we are a power to be reckoned with, not somone to be taken lightly.

The libs think Iraq is a recruiting ground for Islamonazi's now? Hell, if we leave before we have beaten these savages back to the seventh century, Iraq will become their new holy ground. That would be exactly the boost these beasts need to recover from the thrashing we and the Iraqi forces are giving them. I hope we stay in Iraq indefinitely. My son is headed for his second tour there in a couple weeks.

OH, the cost would be far higher!

I'm sure many of you realize this, but it hasn't been stated on this thread, so, here goes:

Ahmedinejad (sp?), Bin Laden, Saudi Wahabbists, Syrians, Palestinians, and many other Muslims seek the return of a Caliphate -- in part to spread Islam, and in part to encourage the appearance of the Mahdi.

IRAN will almost instantly invade, conquer, and control Iraq if we leave before Iraq is not only stable, but also defensible, secular, and democratic.

Ahmedinejad and MOST Muslims wish for a return of the Caliphate which is to begin as a regional Islamic State, and which is to end as RULERS OF THE WORLD UNDER SHARIA LAW.  This is Islamic prophecy and belief.  It is not merely the belief of a small radical fringe.  It is the ultimate GOAL of Islam, and has been the GOAL since Gabriel visited Mohammed.

Where do Ahmedinejad and most muslims believe will be the center (Capitol) of this Caliphate?

BAGHDAD, IRAQ.

You forgot some points:
5.  Bush Jr. with a scared stary look, after he knew of the first plane hitting one of the Towers before he went into the school, then told of the second plane hitting the other Tower, while on the other screen the first Tower burning and the second just getting hit.
6.  Bush and his cronies shaking hands with the Bush appointed Afgan President, while on the other screen the pipeline is making profits for Bush/Cheney already rich-ass friends and people getting killed and murdered over there. Might need a triple split screen for that one.
7.  Bush Jr. bending over looking up his ass while laughing with his dinner guests joking if the WMD's were up there, while on the other screen shows people getting killed and murdered in a lied about war in Iraq.

That's just a tip of a ton of others not mentioned below.
