Rather than trying to explain how I feel about these "Super" Tuesday results, you could always just re-read how I felt the day I buried my grandfather. See:
http://www.rushlimbaughforum.com/give-t547.htm I felt as if I had buried America.
Also, thanks to all that posted their consolations. Unfortunately, in recent years, I wasn't as close to my Grandfather as I would have liked -- but, aside from loving the man, I always felt that he represented an earlier/better time for America. That he was a better man, despite his faults, than I could ever hope to be.
The comparison between what I felt that my Grandfather represented, and what Modern America has become is unavoidable.
There is simply no comparison between my Grandfather's America, and MY America. They are not even remotely the same thing. One was good, the other is bad. One, even after 170 years, was based upon the principles of the Founders; the other, only 50 years later does not even recognize founding principles.
This is why I am so upset by a McCain nomination. It's one thing to have ONE party that totally discounts founding principles; but now the election of the President of the United States will be between two candidates, neither of whom have any interest in founding principles. Both Hillary and Obama openly DESPISE the ideals upon which this country was founded; and McCain is quite simply so ignorant that he doesn't even know what founding principles were.
I also have a lot to say about McCain's ridiulous propogandist use of his military experience, but I'll save it for another post.
