the yeti ..

It is not the job of government to gaurantee health care and welfare to the poor or anyone else. We are a free society and our consititution provides the liberty that allows its citizens the freedom to achieve these things on their own.

You are echoing the typical liberal talking points and exposing your ignorance about what has made this country great. The libs are doing everything they can to disassemble it one piece at a time.

No more feeding the troll !!!

I don't drink kool aid, but apparently you do. Try reading what I posted instead of crying to mommy. The money will never reach those who need it. It'll go to the back pockets of tin horn dictators like it did in Somalia, N. Korea, Myanmar, etc. Of course you wouldn't know because you can't see anything with your eyes closed and you can't hear anything with your fingers stuck in them. Why don't you go play in traffic with the rest of the Kool (Aid) kids.

IS this How it works on RushLimbaughForum ?? I thought Republicans were the religious, follow the word of God, Morals and family values type. I guess that only fits for some of US. then the other "so called" Republicans call us names and form opinions in direct contradiction with the bible. So be it.

So just because you said it, it is now a fact ?  I said it WILL get to the people, so therefore it is FACT. see how OPINION works.
you would need PROOF to support your CLAIM to make it factual.  you cannot PROVE that the money in the bill that has not even passed would NOT get to the poor.  you may ( but i doubt it) be able to proove that past money did not make it, but that does not mean anything towards this bill. now does it?

Why am i a troll ?? i think i am a real Republican who does not buy into the bile and half truths of either party. i follow the word of the bible, not the GOP or dem interpretation of it.   I want a balanced budget, border security, low taxes, etc...  get a clue please, you cannot call everyone who disagrees with you a troll. it just makes no sense, chicken little.

Doing the same thing over and over again is insanity.  Giving money to an organization, in this case the U.N., that has a history of mismanagement is insane.   Show me where the U.N. has done anything worthwhile.  I have come across many liberals who I do not agree with.  I don't call them trolls.  You are a troll because all you do is argue your points with no backing.  You accuse me of basing everything on my "opinion" and yet that is all you do.  If you are for low taxes where do you think .85 Trillion dollars is going to come from?  The Kennedy's, Bushes and other rich families?  Do you think Gyorgy Soros is going to foot the bill?  YOU need to "get a clue".  Like I said earlier go play in traffic.

Are you retarded?  Do you not know what a "." in front of a number means?  As for the amount I got it from this earlier post:
[quote="SoldiersMum"]From the Center for Individual Freedom:

If Senator Barack Obama has his way, U.S. taxpayers could very well be committed to spending $0.85 trillion -- much of it going to third world dictators and despots that hate America -- under the guise of fighting "global poverty."

As you can see I did not pull anything "out of my arse"   Whenever you set up that paypal account for your operation let me know.   I hate to see people stuck with their head up their butt.

There are a few major problems with this bill.

First, it encompasses the U.N. Millenium Declaration.

If the President signed this bill, it would be like a Treaty with the U.N. and treaties supercede the Constitution. It will do a number of things. It will mandate a portion of our GDP go to the UN to be distributed to countries in poverty. It would also erase our Second Amendment in favor of the U.N.'s gun control laws.

I don't have a problem with the U.S. giving money to help starving people, people of natural disasters or people with severe medical issues, like AIDS, Malaria, etc. We are the most giving nation on earth and do not need someone to legislate mandatory aid. I do not like giving money to the U.N. because it never ends up helping those who are truly in need. It ends up in the pockets of people in the U.N. and despots around the world.

I have a problem with the "Mandatory" giveaway to the U.N. and the U.N. imposed gun control laws.

This entire bill is a bill that is designed to take us one step closer to Gyorgy Soros' Global Open Society. It is communist and it takes away our freedoms.
We've got to do a better job of getting across that America is freedom--freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs protection.

Why is always up to the United States to not only solve the world’s problems, protect the world but then pay for everything too.
This is not only ridiculous but also downright scary. Senator Obama and the rest of these Morons are even thinking about this make me want scream.
This country is seriously in trouble if this gets passed. Helping people is one thing, like we don’t do that now. This country gives more money than any other country. Enough is enough.

Now the UN wants to own this country. No! NO! and NO!

Maybe we shouldn’t bother answering the phone at 3AM. It will just be somebody else wanting something for nothing.

Article on S.2433, the Global Poverty Act

The Global Poverty Act: The Wrong Track for U.S. Aid Policy by Ambassador Terry Miller and Brett D. Schaefer April 1, 2008 Heritage Foundation Web Memo #1878
http://www.heritage.org/Research/ForeignAid/wm1878.cfm

Mr. Cline said,

“But the Obama bill does more than allow the U.N. to tax American citizens. It is more than a matter of legality or illegality. For all practical purposes, it surrenders U.S. political sovereignty and independence to the U.N., an organization most of whose members are actively hostile to the U.S. Has the U.S. ever approved a tax on its citizens imposed by the U.N.?
The "Millennium Development Goal" refers to a United Nations declaration adopted by the U.N. Millennium Assembly and Summit in 2000 that calls for "the eradication of poverty" by "redistribution (of) wealth and land," cancellation of "the debts of developing countries" and "a fair distribution of the earth's resources." The IBD reports that "The Millennium project is monitored by Jeffrey D. Sachs, a Columbia University economist. In 2005 he presented then-U.N. secretary general Kofi Annan with a 3,000-page report based on the research of 265 so-called poverty specialists. "Sachs' document criticized the U.S. for giving only $16.5 billion a year in global anti-poverty aid. He argued that we should spend an additional $30 billion a year in order to reach the 0.7% target that the U.N. set for the U.S. in 2000....Sachs said that the only way to force the U.S. to commit that much money is by a global tax, such as a tax on fossil fuels [oil, coal, natural gas]." The tax would be imposed not only on their production, but on their use, as well. Among other consequences, Americans would be impoverished for the purpose of reducing poverty abroad by 0.7 percent of the U.S.'s gross domestic product ……….”

Obama’s Global Poverty Act by Edward Cline April 3, 2008 Capitalist Magazine

Jeffrey Sachs said
“”Since the early 1980s, American development programs have been gutted, to the point that there is little institutional understanding about societies seething because of mass unemployment, rapid population growth, pervasive disease and chronic”

America’s Ignorance is a Threat to Humanity by Jeffrey D. Sachs published by the International Herald Tribune June 8, 2004
