SCOTUS DECLARES THEY WILL DETERMINE IMMIGRATION POLICY

It's funny how GOPER referred to McCain as a conservative in previous posts, yet in this one, he labeled him a moderate conservative.

"He, as a Loyal Moderate Conservative, voted against many liberal appointments."

It's interesting how he says McCain/Kennedy was not amnesty when clearly it was.  Apparently, he thinks none of us did any diligence to actually read the bill.

It's ridiculous when he claims McCain/Feingold has stopped campaign finance fraud.  McCain/Feingold enabled the 527s like MoveOn to come to the forefront and now George Soros can put as much of his money as he wants to into supporting Obama, his chosen one.   Plus, bundling is still going on and is just a peachy way for Obama to accept money (unless they are found out and proven to be bogus}.  I won't include McCain into bundling since he's not getting much money.  He's too stupid to see that sticking his finger into conservatives eyes won't get him any campaign contributions.

The fact is this..McCain will bend over to the Democrats on whatever the issue so that he can claim he crossed that aisle.  The bills he has collaborated with them on have all been hugely swung to the left by his Democrat counterparts.

So, he can make any statement he wants to make about how conservative he is.  He can say he will appoint conservative judges, he can call now for drilling, he can say anything he wants to and guess what?  We are not going to believe a thing he says.  It is more important for him to be that Maverick aisle crosser than it is for him to maintain any conservative principle.

Oh, and one more thing, the term Ultracon used by GOPER does nothing for me except give me the impression he hates conservatives as much as McCain does.  Conservatism is a way of life, an ideology.  It does not get more conservative as in "Ultracon."  It is conservatism and John McCain is not a conservative.

What "official studies" proved that McCain-Feingold has reduced soft money in politics by one penny?  By "small 527s" you mean those that have budgets in the tens of millions of dollars?  You are living in an alternate reality.  You are entitled to your own opinion but you are not entitled to your own facts.  You need to stop reading McCain press releases and do a little research into topics before you say such silly things.

Im sorry, but I can assure you, offical studies prove you and paleocon wrong. Campaign Finance Reform has reduced "dirty Money" and made poltiics clean. None of this matters anyway because last year Barack Obama made a pledge to accept public funding, so that wont play a role in this election campaign. The only role will be played by you two, Soldiers Mum and Paleocon, from Pennsylvania and Virginia, respectively, both are major swing states. the GOP, whitch for so many years has supported conservative principles now needs you.

John McCain has many conservative stances like health care. Did you know that on his last appearence on Larry King,  Michael Moore said he would never support John McCain  because he had a quote "free market" health care plan? you call that a liberal plan?

He has always been consistent on conservative judges. In 87 he voted for Scalia, voted for Thomas in 91. He voted for Roberts in 05 and Alito in 06. He even backed up Robert Bork in 87.

Oh, you assure me.  You can't quote a single reference for this "mythical official study" but you assure me.  How stupid do you think we are?  How do you tell the difference between "dirty money" and "clean money?"

And by the way, Obama has not agreed to public financing of his campaign.  Even a simple google search would demonstrate that fact to you.  http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid= ... UgUJQUGwq0

And please explain to me which of the following were conservative principles the GOP most recently supported:

  • McCain-Feingold
  • McCain-Kennedy
  • McCain-Lieberman (Now Warner-Lieberman)
  • Medicare Prescription Plan (Socialized Pharmacies)
  • Placing Polar Bears on the Endangered Species Act
  • "Economic Stimulus" Package of 2008
  • 3.1 Trillion Federal Budget (Proposed by GW Bush)

it is almost if you Buckley people are more loyal to conservatism than you are to the party that runs and funds conservatism. Ideas are important but other things are as well, and you should be loyal to our great people here at the GOP.

I dont have the time to respond in full  just now, but i will pop in  again tomorrow morning.

I can hardly wait!  Get this.  He thinks we are loyal to principles and not party!  And he still can't stop calling us names.

And did you know that the GOP runs and funds conservatism?  Since when?  Show me the receipts.  Can you say "factually challenged?"

Now, you are getting angry and making this personal paleocon, but im just trying to have a reasonable debate here and convince some people. I assure you the numbares are thyere and it worked. The 527s are blown out of proportion by the media.

I will individually adress all of those issues, but i dont have time just now. Im involved in at least 3 other conversations at the moment.

I see.  You come in calling us names and insulting us at the very start but I am making it personal when I point it out.  Wow.  Your assurances are no more acceptable than John McCain telling me "he gets it" on illegal immigration.  527s have raised hundreds of millions of dollars.  John McCain has raised only 90 million.  How in the world can that be considered insignificant?  I have never even heard John McCain say he has solved the problems of 527s or declare them insignificant.

When we quote a source you will notice we usually link to it as we quote it.  You have referred to a source several times and failed to provide a reference still!  That is NOT how you have a reasonable debate.  That is NOT how you convince people.

This shows you how "in touch with reality" GOPER and the whole McCain campaign are.  Good thing John McCain has all those conservatives pumping money into his campaign and that McCain-Feingold fixed the problems of "dirty money" in politics.

The laughter you hear is Senator Russ Feingold, D -Wisconsin, busting a gut over John "Across the Aisle" McCain....

Barack Obama Says on 19 June 2008:
Obama bypasses public money — 1st since Watergate
By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer
Thu Jun 19, 7:27 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama is abandoning public financing for his presidential campaign, reversing his earlier stance in bold certainty he can raise millions more on his own as the first major-party candidate to bypass the tax-checkoff system that was hurried into place after the Watergate scandal.

Goper, it's a mystery to me how you can say we conservatives are not supporting the party that is furthering conservatism.  The party has swung so far left we feel you have abandoned us.  John McCain demonstrates his disdain for conservatives on a regular basis.  Sure, there are conservatives within the party and Yes, we are absolutely supporting them.  I told the GOP to stop calling because I would not give one more dollar to the party of RINOs so that my money could help get them elected.  I will; however, support conservatives directly with a dollar or two...there aren't any running for national office in my state/district so no PA politician will get any $ except my local State Representative who I helped get elected.  I will also support conservatives running in other states with a dollar or two but directly to their campaigns.

If the "Moderate Republicans" like McCain so much, they can support McCain with their dollars.  I'm tired of bending over and/or holding my nose.

Goper, since your very first post, you have been labeling us.  This occurs to me to be a tactic of the Democrat Party...labeling.  Surely, you can discuss your points without calling us names.  We are first and foremost conservative, patriotic, liberty & freedom loving people who believe this country and its people deserve better than watching our party leaders caving and crossing that aisle to just go along with the socialists.   There is more stuff coming out about Obama and his affiliation with the Democratic Socialists of America.  I heard it today on the radio.  He is a marxist, Goper, and the sooner you all realize in the GOP that you are headed in the same direction, the sooner you will come over to our side versus thinking McCain is better than French Bread and thinking you can sway us to your "moderate" position.
