Oh yes, poetry can do politics, no metaphors or similes.
The sense is common, the genre satire, and I target the libs.

I'm state-of-the-art, ever alert,
Never in doubt, genuine smart,
On the move, new and improved,
Playing games and taking names,
Never before and keeping score,
Comes to play and wins the day
In the absence of hard evidence
Where meaning and relevance
More figment than significant ...
From solutions from opinions
Than the actual and factual
Based upon a certitude
Primarily from attitude.
