Rush On Special Election Losses

Rush On Special Election Losses

Rush was livid about this and rightly so. Republicans lost 3 special congressional elections yesterday, in traditionally Republican districts. Someone at the RNC apparently tried to blame OC for the losses. Rush correctly made the point that these congressional seats were lost because the Democrats ran candidates who are more conservative than their Republican opponents. A Democrat who is more conservative than a Republican!!!!
The Dems are studying combat tactics and the Republicans are not. No one ever won a war, military, cultural or political, by defending. Victory comes from offensive action. The Dems are mounting a conservative offensive in Republican territory, while Republicans attempt to appease voters, defend, by being liberal.
How many times has Rush said it? Conservatism works every time it is tried. In this case, it is working for Democrats.

Where is our Goldwater/Reagan? And, why is he or she not running the RNC? Half an ounce of conservative leadership at the RNC could bury the Democrat party for a decade, at least.

Yesterday, McCain's environmental speech was the last straw, I emailed the RNC and informed them that I will not make contributions this year. And, that I will not vote for McCain. I'm sure the RNC doesn't care what I think.

Great Post, Bedbug!

I agree 100 %.  McCain is showing us his true colors, and it is scary.

He is significantly left of Bill Clinton!  I haven't made a final decision, but I just can't see myself pulling the lever for McCain, either.  IMHO, he will be more effective getting liberal legislation enacted into law, than will BHO.  He's a more experienced Washington insider.

I know some think that McCain will, at least, give us better supreme court justices, but I just don't see it.  It looks like the Democrats will have the votes in the senate to block any strict constructionists.  I fear the end result will be compromise and a more liberal supreme court, no matter what.

It appears that yesterday's Juan McCain speech was only a warmup for the drivel that he let loose today.  We are soooo screwed.  This guy is losing it day by day in front of us.  Who has lost touch with reality?  It obviously isn't the North Carolina Republican Party.
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

I have to agree. McCain will appoint judges and justices that he thinks will be approved (read acceptable to liberals) because he will want to appear effective. He has shown us time and again that he will appease liberals to grab a headline. His ego will be our undoing.
