A little more on the above subject. I don't know what Rush contributes to, but I haven't heard of any charities he supports on a regular basis. Sean Hannity at least is an ardent supporter of the troops and helps fund activites for them. Has Rush ever visited the troops like Bob Hope, funded any events for them like Tiger Woods or done anything that would advance the conservative cause in any active fashion? How about Ann Coulter, Neil Boortz and the other conservatives who have made millions using their mouths, why don't they put some money where their mouths are?

I can only hope you're trying some satire here... Otherwise you certainly know nothing about Rush. Yes he's visited Iraq, and yes he is a charitable man. If you listen to the show you would have recalled his stories about his trip to Iraq, and also his heavy involvement in therestan...

I'm sure Howard Stern "The King of All Media" whose had a best selling book, highly rated tv show, his own monthly on demand service, a critically acclaimed movie, and own satellite radio station which has about 7 million listeners who pay a monthly fee to listen to him is doing just fine. Oh and he got 500 million to go to satellite. Nuff said Howard is still the King!

Rush has donated millions of dollars to charities over the years. Remember the "Reid Letter?" Remember the annual charity drive he hosts for "EIB Cure-a-Thon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?"
You and I have no idea of everything Rush gives back. But, you overlooked the obvious generosity that he has publically demonstrated and then make the absurd "gives back" comment. Envy isn't pretty. And people don't "give back taxes." The government forces us to pay taxes under threat of criminla prosecution.
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

Yes, Stern got 500 million to go to satellite and a huge part of his audience left him. I imagine Serius is still kicking themselves over that brilliant decision. Howard is the "king" of puerile, junior high, scatological humor. But, if Serius is willing to pay him 500 million for insipid potty humor it is their choice.
