In Rush's Monday monologue, he stated that the new strategy of the far left is to campaign against him; and not the Republican presidential candidates. I must say that it's not that much of an exaggeration.
The far left has revised their play book. Their new plan is transparent. They are coming after Rush, and other conservatvie talk radio hosts. There was a hint that something was in the air this summer, when the far left talking points began resurrecting the fairness doctrine; specificially to neutralize conservative talk radio.
Now, look what has happened in the last 10 days.
1. Media Matters purposely distorted Rush's statement about 'phony' soldiers. It was very apparent Rush's intent was to bring attention to those people who exaggerate their military service. The 'drive bys' are finding these 'phony' soldiers to exploit their anti-war - anti-patriotic diatribe.
2. The Far left in congress has tried to exploit this distortion of facts by Media Matters, and condemn Rush from the floor of congress, as being unpatriotic. They desperately want to censure him, but it is unconstitutional to do so to a private citizen. These are the same senators and house members who have called Petreus a traitor, and have consistently tried to pull the rug out from under our war efforts, and denigrated our armed forces.
3. Now, Waxman, the head of the committe on gov't oversight and reform has vowed to use all the resources of his office to monitor conservative talk Radio; specifically mentioning Rush, Hannity, and Levine.
Is this beginning to sound very Orwellian to you? The far left is moving closer by the day to just being full fledged Marxist without any pretense to the contrary.
