A very popular and powerful Hillary Clinton will be the Dems' nominee.
She's already CRUSHING McCain in crucial swing states like Ohio, Florida and Michigan.
McCain is beating Obama in those states.
Obama was our perfect chance to have a landslide  victory against the Dems' in November.
Republicans and Conservatives would've made big gains in both houses of congress.
But Rush stole that opportunity from us.
He'll have to apologize to his audience and to the nation.

Well, Paul, you are entitled to your opinion but I believe you do not understand the current state of the democrat primary race and the goal of Op Chaos.

Fact - neither Obama nor Clinton can win enough delegates through the electoral process to clinch the nomination.  The only way one can clearly win is if one drops out!  Ending the democrat primary now is absolutely against the best interests of the GOP.

Fact - the continued primary is causing division among the different constituencies in the democrat party and may have long-term effects on their party.

Fact - the continued primary causes the democrats to spend money fighting each other so they can't use that money to fight the GOP in the general election.

Fact - the democrat convention in Denver in August will likely divide the democrat party as an elite group of non-elected democrat party operatives will overrule the will of about 45% of the democrat electorate.  Unless one of them conceeds early.

Did I miss anything.  I cannot believe that people still don't understand Op Chaos!

McCain is fully capable of losing this on his own to either democrat candidate.

You see... I was proven CORRECT.
Obama is very weak with crucial REAGAN DEMOCRATS.
He was trounced in West Virginia because of that... and he's being trounced in Kentucky because of that.
That's why all Republicans should now vote for Obama in the remaining primaries.
We need him to be the nominee.
The Democrats will have another McGovern-type candidate.
Obama's NEGATIVE coat-tails will help all Republicans in the Fall.

No, Paul, you still don't get it.  Obama is ahead in the delegate count regardless of today's outcomes.  Mathematically, Obama cannot lose the delegate count to Hillary.  That is why everyone needs to continue to vote for Hillary in the primaries.

I'll explain it one more time.  Obama get's hurt as long as Hillary continues to run.  If Hillary stops running Obama benefits.  The only way Hillary can be the Dem nominee is if she steals the nomination at the convention.  But, that would cripple her prospects in the general election by fracturing the Dem vote.  She cannot win the nomination at the ballot box.  The math just doesn't allow that at this point.  She would have to win 95% of all remaining votes and we know that isn't going to happen.  Do you understand now?

Op Chaos - "Mission Accomplished!"

Postby paleocon on 05/21/08, 12:12 am

Rush is a genius.  This is exactly what Operation Chaos was all about.  Neither candidate "won" at the ballot box.  Now the Dems get to kill each other at the convention and play back-room politics.  Whoever gets the nomination emerges with serious baggage.

Obama is expected to pick up at least 14 delegates in Kentucky, and by CNN estimates, that will give him 1,627 of the 3,253 pledged delegates at stake in all of primaries and caucuses.

Obama will also pick up a win in Oregon, CNN projects, giving him the larger share of the state's 52 delegates.

Obama's top strategist, David Axelrod, said getting the pledged delegate majority was an "important milestone," but not the end of the trail.

Neither candidate is expected to reach the 2,026 delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination.

That means the race is likely to be settled by "superdelegates" -- party leaders and officials who will cast votes at the Democratic convention in August.
