Presidential Polls!

Presidential Polls!

Postby paleocon on 07/28/08, 10:58 pm

There have been about 40 polls released in the last few days and each one shows a different result.  It is early to start paying too much attention to the polls but I think THIS poll will make some folks over at the Obamessiah campaign a little nervous.

In a USA Today/Gallup Poll from 28 July, McCain surged up by four points over Obama 49 to 45 among likely voters.  A month ago, McCain was down by 6 points in the same poll.

Polls tend to focus on "likely voters" and "registered voters."  Likely voters are those who actually vote while registered voters are those who can vote (but almost half never do).  Polls taken among likely voters generally are more accurate.

I suspect Obamessiah is NOT happy about this news as he returns home from his "World Tour 2008."  Did he over play his hand it in Europe?

The MSM is reporting the Obamessiah got a huge jump from his trip.  They failed to mention the Rasmussen poll. The only one I heard mention it was Hannity.  Gallup has the O with a 3-point lead which is hardly huge.   I expected to see the MSM reporting a huge jump and wasn't disappointed.  Truth doesn't matter.  Getting the O elected is what matters.
