Preoccupied

As I watch the news or read the newspaper I am bombardedwith images and stories of people protesting in America for ideals thathistorically have been truly un-American.  I myself would love to be outthere on the streets protesting their stance, standing up for America, anduniting a people that are fed up with the socialization, political correctness, and destruction of our American camaraderie and heritage.  Instead, I am atwork, paying my taxes, raising my children, or maintaining my house.  Ican't afford to miss work, I as a teacher am also afraid to speak my views in apublic place due to the backlash I would receive from my school district (whichso openly supports the far left).  We as Americans have become preoccupiedwith reaching our goal in life: have a family, get a secure job, save money forretirement, etc.  What can we do to foster change?  I am so disgustedwith what I see on TV, and read in the newspapers that I am willing to give upmy home and job and fight for the American culture that I was raised to believein, the culture I was TAUGHT in school.  Schools today are adding to theproblem by teaching kids how to take tests to pass the state exams and notworrying about the subject at hand.  Kids today have no sense of civil responsibility;kids today have no sense of humanity.  We are breeding a third worldgeneration, and I am ready to stand up and fight.  But is everyone elsetoo preoccupied with their job, their family, their house, and their taxes too?
