inauguration ball 2009. obama, our newly elected president, begins his first majestic steps down the stairs of the grand ballroom, his charming wife at his side. the music stops as all eyes look up to the mezzanine. suddenly, as if on que, the ball room lights up with cheers and thunderous applause. barack cannot refrain from his triumphant smile as he proudly, gracefully nods his head to these faithful strangers who have anointed this visitor their leader. "yes,” he thinks to himself, “i will get to know all of you very well. i will love you as my own. we will change this place!"
“but what’s this?” he thinks to himself, he and his wife now somewhat uncomfortable with these stranger;s eyes. “why do these people still look behind me? here i stand, before you on the ground, don’t you see!? look to me! look to me!!"
it is then that barack slowly turns to look back to the top of the stairs. and there, heroically on the mezzanine, stand bill and hillary, tall and a glow from a spotlight as they majestically wave to the crowd, which is by now going wild. locking arms the entire ballroom begins to sway as a single wave in an ocean chanting “hillary!! hillary!! hilllary….”
the dynasty has returned to their faithful. and as the crowd continues swaying and chanting…bic lighters now glowing above their heads…hillary glances down to barack with that comforting smile that only a mother can offer. “fear not little-b. there, there, there now. you are safe in my arms…here with us. you are with our people,. i will watch over your, comfort you, wipe your nose, and hold your hand. i will cuddle and protect you from all the bad. we will show you our ways. and someday maybe, when you’re all grown up, we’ll even let you stand here with us…but only if you’re good. now go play nicely.”
nothing to do with race, creed color or religion my brother. its about the power, and i give obama more credit than a silly move like swaping out a biden, who helps, with a hillary, which is a train. technically it is possible to catch a train by standing in front of it, and getting smeared all over the engine is physically on the train. maybe that's good enough for obama, who knows but i don't place him in that small a box. if all he wants is to be on the train, there is nothing else we need to know about obama.
