Yeah, the "free ride" is over. I paid over $13,000 in federal taxes this year. Then I paid another $4,500 to the Commonwealth of Virgina.

That doesn't count the 4.5% sales tax I paid on virtually evrything I purchased. Or the federal and state gasoline taxes. And that does not include the 7.65% my employer paid to social security on my behalf.

Who in the world is getting a "free ride?"

Somehow I don't believe this person is really "In The Middle."  

Apparently, he/she hasn't read the latest figures showing the wealthy in this country are Democrats and the ones who make the most charitable contributions are the Republicans.  

I'm not rich but I pay more than my fair share in taxes plus donate to many causes.  I don't hide what money I have in the Caymens and I believe in capitalism and liberty.  Perhaps "In The Middle" is the recipient of our tax money?  Perhaps that's why he/she is looking forward to higher taxes and a larger handout for doing NOTHING but whining.
