Obama visits doctor to treat sore hip
CHICAGO - Barack Obama, back in his home town after a tour of Afghanistan, the Middle East and Europe, saw a doctor at the University of Chicago Medical Center on Sunday night to deal with a sore hip.
"His hip has been sore from basketball for a few weeks, so he's going to see an orthopedic doctor," Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said.
As he left the hospital, Obama told reporters: "I had small X-rays. Everything's OK. I think I'm going to be good in about a week."
Obama is a lifelong basketball player, and he squeezes in a game every now and then on the campaign trail. At one stop during his overseas trip, he shot baskets with U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Obama Two Step Finally Catches Up With Obamessiah!

It looks like all that pivoting, ducking and weaving and flip-flopping has finally caught up with Obamessiah. All those fast moves have to take a toll on the man's body.
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

Barack Obama is 47 years old and he's a smoker. Yeah sure, he's a real jock. His basketball is for photo ops only. It's Karma. Either that or he'll be in a body cast due to his lil' injury so he won't be able to debate John McCain or meet him for any townhall meetings.

I am 47 and not a smoker and I don't play basketball. But, my hip hurts too. It helps when I walk more frequently. I thought Obamessiah walked home from Europe to reduce pollution. That should have helped his leg.

Maybe as you said, the salt water soaked into his shoes (and pants), thus causing him to have very heavy legs, thus causing him to need medical attention by the time he got all the way home to Illinois.

Yes, that would be best. Humor is best left to the professionals. I suspect Obamessiah will initiate several substantive regulations of the "humor" marketplace early in his administration. And, I expect an outright ban of "home-based" humor by the end of the first term of the Obamessiah administration. Who knows what we can expect in the 9th and 10th years of his most enlightened rule.
But, humor cannot be taken for granted and it must not be taken lightly. The expression of humor by those not enlightened enough to wield it with suitable responsibility can lead to all manner of social ills including Will Ferrell skits on "Saturday Night Live," halitosis and New Yorker Magazine covers.
Humor may yet again become a serious business when the "Most Enlightened One" assumes all power in this damaged land. We can look forward to His firm guidance and enjoy the free expression granted us by those diligent royal humor inspectors laboring on our behalf at the Ministry of Free Speech. But only if He says so.
