Obama supports illegal immigration to help keep the price of arugala low in Whole Foods.  If a couple of thousand citizens a year get killed for cheaper arugla it is a bargain.  Statistically, these people will be older and he will save a bundle for the social security system.

Beslan is one of the most frightening incidents to me as a parent of three small children.  Russia failed to monitor their border during an open insurgency and the cost was horrific.  

I have often thought that these kinds of soft targets would be the next targets.  Malls, schools, churches, national monuments....  The list is quite long.  The purpose of terrorism is to spread terror and killing people's kids (unless you are a pro-abortion liberal) is the easiest way to scare people.  

Clancy lays out a scenario of multiple attacks on shopping malls across America.  I used to frequent one of those malls and, given the recent attacks in malls, it does not appear to be very difficult to pull off.  And most schools would be even easier.  Terrorists in Holland took approximately 100 school kids hostage in the mid 70's when I was a school kid in Germany with the Bader-Meinhof gang running around bombing and kidnapping people.  

The amazingly obvious cognitive dissonance displayed by McCain on the issue of the border is stunning.  This fundamentally irrational position is perhaps even more obvious than the unconstitutional nature of McCain-Feingold.  If you are for fighting and killing bad guys in Iraq but encouraging and facilitating their illegal entry to this nation you have obviously lost touch with reality.

   Which Clancy book is this in?  I'll have to read it.  For a couple of years now, I've been imagining that the next attack could very well be multiple, simultaneous, Beslan-type attacks.

I figure a few thousand (maybe 3000, conservatively) Al Qaeda or affiliated terrorists within America right now.  If it takes, say, 10 or 20 terrorists to carry out one Beslan-style attack; I fear that one beautiful, blue-skied morning, we could find that 200 - 300 different schools around the country have had all of their students tortured, raped, and beheaded.

What will John McCain do to prevent this?

Will Reverend Wright (and other leftists) still think that it is America's chicken's coming home to roost?

How many liberals will see this as OUR (never their) fault? What would the response be?  Who would we attack?  What nation?  Will we ever be justified in attacking a "sovereign nation" in retalliation?  How many Americans will still oppose war?  What type of war or action would be acceptable to such folks?

The book is titled "The Teeth of the Tiger" published in 2003.  Clancy has an eerie way of predicting the future.  I think he was the first to posit using airliners as guided missiles.  

I have no way of knowing how many terrorists are currently in the country.  But the number of MS13 gang members is easily in the thousands and possible number in the tens of thousands.  In Clancy’s book I think there are four teams of 4 or 5 each who attack malls.  But their mission is to kill quickly in a suicide attack.  Missions against a school would require more people if the goal is to take hostages and hold them for any given time.  You just need more bodies to manage hostages.  If they simply want to shoot up a school they probably wouldn’t need larger teams.

I expect we are more vulnerable to this kind of attack then most people realize.  This scenario is one of the reasons I have been thinking about getting a permit to carry a weapon.  The casualties would be horrific.  The public reaction could be explosive.  People would be demanding that we nuke Iran and Syria and probably even Saudi Arabia for that matter.  Frankly, the reaction against people of Middle Eastern origin would most likely be terrible.  My brother has always told me that he thinks there won’t be many Muslims in America the day after the next massive terrorist attack.  I hope not but I can’t discount the possibility.  Murdering a couple of hundred children would absolutely inflame most of middle America.  

Marxists like Obama and Wright would clearly see such an event as our fault and immediately move to make immigration easier and increase funding to sanctuary cities.  Anything bad that happens is always America’s fault because we are the source of all evil and oppression in their minds.
