We shall have to see if "Justice" Kennedy can hold out long enough to see if he is for or against the 1st amendment.

Actually, I believe the Koran calls for death to homosexuals.  If that is the case, it will also be banned from distribution.  However, watch to see if that is upheld in the Colorado state Government.  My guess is the liberals will find a way around having the Koran included.

Well, that was kind of the point.  The Koran is full of "off with their heads" kind of stuff about everybody.  The Koran is full of dirty old men raping little girls.  The Koran is full of vile stuff.  But, I predict the Colorado law will ONLY apply to the Christian Bible.  After all, Islam is the "religion of peace."

Paleocon, I don't have any case to make for the Koran.  I agree that it is filled with logical and factual errors; however, you might want to actually read the Koran before making statements about "old men raping little girls" ... because someone could challenge you to produce the quotation from the Koran ... and, you might be in a corner.

Yes, and I bet John and Samuel Adams who wrote the Constitution of Massachusetts are wondering how some liberal judges "discovered" the right to homosexual marriage in their document.

Once a law is passed it matters little what words are in the legislation.  All that matters after that point is what some judge with an agenda believes the words should mean.

Oh, silly me.  It is actually the other Muslim holy book, the Hadith, that says it is okay for old men to "marry" little girls and have sex with them.  Please don't tell me you believe that a nine year old can be consensually married and engage in sex with old men like Mohammed did?  But, you are correct.  The "marriage" of Mohammed to A'isha was recorded in the Hadith.

In fact, this is a major problem in the Muslim world now with older Muslim men marrying children.  Google it and you will find all sorts of awful stories.  But, the practice is based on interpretations of the Koran as recorded in the Hadith.

Of course Liberals will resort to their time tested, tried and true tactics of assuring us that this new law would never be used to ban the Holy Bible...like we're too stupid to read the law...and, then a few years down the road...GOTCHA!  The Holy Bible gets banned under this or some similar law...with the Liberals all sitting around with their "you shoulda known" smug faces.

...read the law. You can't ban the Bible under this law. Or ANY law (you know, that whole 'Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment' thing?) for that matter.

This is a good example of paranoia. It's really kind of scary.

No, recent history has proven this is NOT paranoia.  Clearly Congress and especially the Courts have no clue what "... shall make no law" means when it comes to a vast number of constitutionally protected rights.

No, I'm aware of the Hadith ... and, the practice of older men marrying young girls in Islamic society.  I'm not defending it at all...I have no great appreciation for "The Religion of Peace".  I just think we need to be careful about how we express our disagreement with Islam...it needs to be factual...that is all.

What congressional precedent can you site that could lead to a ban of the distribution of the BIBLE????

What possible interpretation of SB.200 could lead to a ban of the distribution of the [I]BIBLE??????

You can't possibly believe that would happen. You just can't. I don't believe it. You just seem to educated.

You are correct.  And I agree that I mistakenly attributed something from the Hadith as being part of the Koran.  Getting it right is critical.  Thanks.

See what I mean? The tried and the true!  First the unfounded assertion that the law could not be used to ban the Holy Bible...followed by blanket assertion that anyone thinking that is paranoid.

How stupid to they think we are?
