Media Matters--the whine-pros of the Left--have taken on the Washington Post ombudsman for criticizing the tardiness of the Post in taking up the ACORN story.
Media Matters major points were:
1. ACORN's actions did not harm the government. (They wish!) No, the government is not going to fall over this issue...but, the POTUS took yet another hit in the credibility department. That IS significant!
2. ACORN receives a small amount of government funding compared to other groups. So, evidently, $53 Million is pretty chump change for Media Matters ... and, nothing to be considered by the taxpayer. Of course Media Matters compares ACRON grants with fees paid for services to security contractors in Iraq and Halliburton....without mentioning that fee-for-service is not a "grant" and none of those organizations are registered as 501.c.3 corporations.
3. ACORN provided only counseling to the activists, and no harm came to the government as a result of the sessions. So, evidently counseling would-be capitalists on how to set up an underage prostitution ring is no big deal to Media Matters...I mean...shoot...don't ALL 501.c.3 organizations do that kind of stuff?
4. Fox and Glen Beck used the story to turn the focus off from Health Care Reform ... SO! Now, we know the REAL REASON they are upset!!!!
Somebody go and call a WHAAAAMMMMBulance!!!
