During the Congressional Hearings to demonize the Oil Industry:

In her response to the President of Shell Oil’s charge that oil prices will go even higher if the government does not allow more domestic exploration and drilling, Maxine Waters states (and I quote) that “this liberal will be all about socializing … uh uh … would be about … basically … taking over … and the government running all of your companies.”

She was tired.  And it was late at night.  And she was under sniper fire at the time.  We must put the whole episode in proper context.  It all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is.

Can you imagine how much oil and gasoline would cost and how little would be available at any price should the government nationalize the oil industry?

I was still very young, but I can remember (back in the 70's) sitting in the back of my grandfather's car for what seemed like hours while we waited in line for gas.

We're all familiar with "Road Rage"; can you say "Gas Rage"?  Ooooh, assaults, batteries, thefts, and murders galore!         

I sat in those gas lines in the 70's.  Sometimes you'd even get close and they'd be out of gas.  I can tell you when it comes again, if you don't have a car with a locking gas cap or a newer car that cannot be syphoned, you'd better be careful where you park your car.  People will steal the gas right out of your car.  

It's going to be the same thing for food because the way Congress is going, the shelves are going to have alot less on them in the grocery stores.  Beef is going to be limited and very expensive.
