"Justice" Kennedy must have been asleep...

What?  "Justice" Kennedy voted for the obvious interpretation of the Constitution?  Or was he sleeping when they voted?  This man must have the most convoluted brain in the nation.

Like they said, it is difficult when the "swing vote is also the dumb vote" on the court.

Well, either way, we won a big one today unless SCOTUS allows for "do overs" on votes.  I was sure this would come out 5-4 against private ownership.

Supreme Court finds individual right to own guns
Thu Jun 26, 2008 10:21am EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Thursday, for the first time in the nation's history, that individual Americans have the right to own guns for personal use, and struck down a strict gun control law in the nation's capital.

The landmark 5-4 ruling marked the first time in nearly 70 years that the high court has addressed whether the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, rather than a right tied to service in a state militia.

This guy is as bad as Sandra Day O' Dumbass.

The 4 die-hard leftists really need to be tried for treason; but no matter how wrong-headed, unconstitutional, and anti-American their opinions are, the leftists are at least capable of coherent thought.

Like O'Connor, Kennedy seems to have NO Judicial philosophy at all, and his arguments lack even a vague semblance of logic.  I'm guessing that he just flips a coin before voting.

No, he just wanted to make sure he keeps his gun to defend himself. Maybe he might be just a wee bit worried because of all the other bumdass decisions he has made against our constitution.

I said before somewhere on this forum in reference to guns.  You want to bring out the multitudes to vote against Senator Obama, try messing with the 2nd Amendment.

I agree that "Justice" Kennedy seems to use a "digital decision meter" to decide his vote on cases.  I cannot see how he could explain his votes over the last several days in any logical, rational fashion.  It simply makes no sense to accept clear, original intent one day and ignore the same, clear original intent on the next.

You always know where 3 of the justices are but you are never quite sure how moronic Souter and Kennedy will be on any given day.

I am willing to bet it all depends on how much crack they smoked that day.

I can suggest no better reason for the illogical and inconsistent actions of "Justice" Kennedy.

I wonder what it is like for Alito, Roberts, Scalia or Thomas to go to work every day and sit in the same building with these people?  Justice Thomas is a wonderful man and a true gentleman but I wonder how he manages dealing with these lunatics on a daily basis.
