I know alot of libs are crossing over in the open primary states...they laugh and brag about it on other forums. That's one reason I can come up with as to why McCain is doing so well...but surely that would only account for a fraction of his success, right?

Well, it appears to account for some of his success.  I just don't know how much.  Of course, liberals don't seem to have any problems with crossing over or voting more than once either for that matter.  And they don't seem to mind losing votes from conservative polling places or counties either.  And they don't seem to mind throwing out absentee ballots from soldiers.  And they don't seem to care if all the votes are counted.  And they don't seem to mind if judges decide election results instead of the actual voters.  So, again, how much of his success is due to liberals is a difficult question.

In Florida, 20% of the registered Republicans switched from Independent to Republican, many on election day which was against election rules in Flordia but the Secretary of State told the poll workers to let them go ahead and vote.

The important thing to remember is that rules and laws do not apply to liberals and elitists.  Rules and laws only apply to conservatives.  Rules are not intended to protect the rights of people but to be exploited as necessary to accomplish the desires of the group currently in power.
