It is nonsense. John McCain never considered it. He is a loyal repuublican, supported by a long republican record of voting. He has an 83% ACU rating. 83%!!!

Alas, he did consider it and many people have stated so and that McCain initiated the conversations.  And his ACU rating in 2006 was only 65!  I can't find his rating for 2005 and 2004 but I suspect they were equally low.

America would be better off if McCain had gone independent in 2000.  We would then have a real conservative candidate this year instead of a RINO.

That would be a possiability if he had ever intended to be an independant. But he didnt. He is and always was GOP.

Well, he was a member of the GOP and he still is.  That explains a lot about the problems with the GOP and why so many of us here no longer identify with the GOP.  We are Americans first and conservatives.  McCain is first, last and always a McCainiac.  It would be better if he understood and respected the constitution of the great nation that he swore to protect.

He is not a McCainiac, he is a raving fan of America. I know you right wingers are angry, but the fact is, John  McCain is a Moderate Conservative, and is Very Conservative on some issues like Oil Drilling. Obama is against oil drilling. All that matters is that McCain never left the republican party, never intended to, and he is the better of the two choices. What do you have against McCain  You right wingers compromised on Bushes, Ford and Nixon. Why not McCain?

Oddly enough, though I have explained it numerous times, you still don't get it.  It is because we "compromised" with Bush, Bush, Ford and Nixon that we are finally fed up with helping elect someone who turns around and governs like the democrats.  The Gipper governed like a conservative.  That is what it will take to win back the support of true conservatives.  And John McCain doesn't have what it takes to be a true conservative.

You keep saying over and over again:  "I know you right wingers are angry."  Why do you keep saying that?  Are you trying to be annoying or just come by it naturally?

Compromise.  That's what you keep saying we should do.  Compromise is from the verb:  to bend over and take it again; to hold one's nose and give up what you believe in..again.  Just exactly why should we do that again?

Also, I requested you stop saying let's win one for the Gipper.  A win for John McCain is not a win for the Gipper.  A win for John McCain is a win for John McCain.  John McCain does not resemble the Gipper.

I have made a compromise.  Rather than compromise my sanity, I have put GOPER back on ignore and won't be reading his intellectually compromised posts.  It is compromise I can live with.
