Alas, he did consider it and many people have stated so and that McCain initiated the conversations. And his ACU rating in 2006 was only 65! I can't find his rating for 2005 and 2004 but I suspect they were equally low.
America would be better off if McCain had gone independent in 2000. We would then have a real conservative candidate this year instead of a RINO.
That would be a possiability if he had ever intended to be an independant. But he didnt. He is and always was GOP.
Well, he was a member of the GOP and he still is. That explains a lot about the problems with the GOP and why so many of us here no longer identify with the GOP. We are Americans first and conservatives. McCain is first, last and always a McCainiac. It would be better if he understood and respected the constitution of the great nation that he swore to protect.
