A big story today was that Frank Wolf (R-VA) and Chris Smith (R-NJ) had their office computers hacked by China.  

They claim they had sensitive information on political dissidents on those computers.  Why?  Are they idiots?  They said they realized they were being targeted by China.  Then they failed to protect their official computers known to be at risk?  Why were computers with such sensitive information even hooked up to the internet?   We have known the Chinese have been probing and penetrating government computers for years!  Why would you leave yourself wide open like this?  

This just proves that even conservative members of congress lack common sense in so many regards!  The Congress has an enormous budget for IT.  They spend a fortune on security.  Evidently, they don't seem to know what they are doing!  I could list 5 simple, nearly free, steps that would prevent this from happening.  This is outrageous!  Why should we trust our congress with sensitive information?  What else might have been on those computers?  

We simply need to rein in congress.  They can't do anything right!
