Most of the first stars were paid for by companies endorsing their lead actors for box office promotions. Most of those stars had some contract financial trick take care of the bill so they never saw the bill.
Yes I do read, but obviously you have a problem in differentiating reading and comprehension. The money is a small factor in the equation. Considering for most of those stars on the walk, earn that much in a week.
A1 my guess is that you did not even read my original post...I said there that studios or fan clubs usually pay for the star.
