Jonah is shocked by an item in the New York Post quoting backhanded praise from Hillary-backing former senator Bob Kerrey. But the item below strikes me as even more shocking:

    Call it Hillary's alien inspiration.

    The former first lady wants to take America back to the movie references of the 1990s.

    "Remember that movie 'Independence Day,' where invaders were coming from outer space and the whole world was united against the invasion?" she asked at a campaign event Saturday.

    "Well, why can't we be united on behalf of our planet?"

    In 1996, Bill Clinton mused about the movie, saying Americans could beat the aliens.

    "Yes, I think we'd fight them off. We'd find a way to win. That's what America does - we'd find a way to win if it happened."

What?

Earlier this year, when Rudy Giuliani was asked about an alien invasion by a young kid in, I think, New Hampshire, he gave a bit of a joking answer saying that under his presidency. This cute little back-and-forth spurred quite a bit of mildly snide coverage, portraying Giuliani as worried about little green men. (The Globe: Giuliani: Preparedness key, even if aliens attack )

Will anyone point out that Hillary Clinton is looking for lessons in global unity from the guy who made the egregious Godzilla remake? What next, concern about toxic chemicals creating Eight Legged Freaks?

The worst part is that Slim Whitman was our last line of defense in "Mars Attacks." And Slim passed on earlier this year I think. We are now defenseless. Prez. Hillary would run up the white flag at the earliest opportunity and we would be slaves forever!

I bet Conway Twitty could have turned back the alien hordes but he is gone too!

Funny how these things are just accepted as "normal" around San Fran and Colorado. Frankly, I think Pelosi is an alien but unfortunately she proves there is no intelligent life out there.

Statistically, aliens would most probably visit someone named "Li" as 100 million people in China have that family name. So based on statistical evidence I reject their claim that aliens visited someone named "Romanke."
