Frankly, I believe anti-depressant and ADD drugs are way over prescribed in America today. If teens act like boys they are declared sick and medicated.
I am not saying you might not have legitimate health concerns and might even need some medication and treatment. But, medication is not always the only or best answer. It is the easiest thing for a doctor though.
Make sure you talk to your parents. Tell them what you think and feel. Discuss what your doctor is saying with them. Learn how to say "sorry" when you blow it and listen to what they have to say. Learn how to accept an "I'm sorry" from them when they blow it. Understand this is tough on them too. Don't tune them out.
I've got a doctor I can trust thankfully. Hes even been on Oprah lol. In the doctors that I deal with theres two kids, a medicene one and a talking one I guess you can say. Talking ones always suck, I've hated pretty much everyone of them I've been too. My medicene doctor is awesome, I could probably trust him with my life.
