Frankly, the same is true of virtually all politicians who have been elected.  I wish some of them would start doing what is best for their constituents.  That would be refreshing.

As long as Rudy's tough on terrorism and other key issues similar which seem logical for him to be able to do (unlike hillary's plans) well its actually prety good I'd like to see him in office.

Rudy's Anti-Crime Plan.

“Turnaround: How America’s Top Cop Reversed the Crime Epidemic.’’ Though the book called Mr. Giuliani a smart man, it depicts the former mayor and his aides as meddling control freaks angered at Mr. Bratton’s media attention.

Remember When Rudy Banned Firecrackers at The Chineese New Year Parade? Compare that to The Fourth Of July on The East River Display or New Years. What effect did that have on the tone of the City? The Drought is Over!!!!

''We are totally crushed,'' said Brandon Tom, 16, a nephew of Mr. Lee and a member of the Chinatown Community Young Lions, a dance troupe whose dream of celebrating their 25th anniversary with extra blasts of firecrackers has been dashed by the ban. ''My friends were almost in tears over this.''
The president of the United Chinese Associations of New York, Wong Kai Shing, has suggested that tape recordings of firecrackers be played during the celebration.
But many scoffed, saying recordings would not have the same impact as the real thing. ''Kind of like phone sex,'' said a Chinatown advocate who insisted that his name not be used. JANE H. LII

Chinese Americans in New York City celebrated the Lunar New Year with a much bigger bang this year than in recent years. For the first time in seven years, firecrackers were part of the annual celebration in Chinatown on Feb. 1.
The traditional firecrackers brought an added enthusiasm to this year’s celebration. “There are people who believe that culturally, it’s really not New Year’s without it,” said Don Lee, an organizer of this year’s events. “You can sense the excitement.”

What I am Saying is That Rudy Giuliani / Bernard Kerick might be better suited as a tag team on WCW.

Fines, Fee's, Penalties, Surcharges. It's Never enough. He will always think on "Us and Them terms". The "Them's" are not recognized as Equal Beings.   Check out the links for further examples of big government at it's finest.

Do You remember when He was confiscating Vehicles without due Process, until the Court put an end to it?

Now imagine an intersection 8 to 14 lanes wide with a 2 second yellow light. I personally received a notice in the mail once that said because I failed to respond the fine was doubled. Spend a work day in Court to fight It? Not unless it involves points, which they don't.
http://www.notbored.org/traffic-cameras.html  These cameras are very expensive. Most cost $60,000 each; some cost as much as $90,000 each. In New York City, there are already 150 traffic cameras in operation. That is to say, $9 million has already been spent on creating an infrastructure for the video surveillance of automobile traffic. It is obvious that the interests of the people of the City of New York would have been much better served if this money had been used to employ sufficient numbers of decently-paid police officers to monitor the circulation of traffic in New York City. (Nine million dollars translates into yearly salaries of $50,000 each for 180 police officers.)

Have You ever experienced Uniformed Sanitation Police Walking Neighborhood Streets randomly searching Garbage Cans.
Recycling violations carry fines of $25 (first Notice), $50 (second Notice), $100 (third Notice), and $500 (four or more Notices within a six-month period).
Buildings with ten or more apartments that receive four or more Notices of Violation within a six-month period will be fined $500 for each bag that violates recycling regulations, up to a maximum of 20 bags within a 24-hour period. This translates to a maximum fine of $10,000 per day.

Homeowners and tenants in one- and two-family homes can receive a Notice of Violation for:

  • Placing regular garbage in designated recycling containers.
  • Failure to separate recyclables from regular garbage.
  • Using recycling containers or blue recycling bags for regular garbage.
  • Placing recyclables out for collection in regular garbage containers or bags.
  • Failure to use appropriate recycling containers or bags.
  • Failure to rinse beverage cartons, bottles, cans, and foil clean of food and residue.
  • Failure to tie newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and phone books into bundles no more than (18) inches high (if not placed in a bag or container).
  • Failure to flatten and tie corrugated cardboard boxes (unless broken down into small pieces and placed in a bag or container).
  • Placing mixed paper, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and phone books in any bag other than a 13-55 gallon clear plastic bag.
  • Placing beverage cartons, bottles, cans, or foil in regular garbage containers or bags.

Holy Cow!  I recycle when I can but I can't believe this silliness.  What gives any government the right to go through your trash?  I don't think the cops can do that without a warrant.

  • Failure to rinse beverage cartons, bottles, cans, and foil clean of food and residue.
  • Failure to tie newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and phone books into bundles no more than (18) inches high (if not placed in a bag or container).

I have to rinse out my trash?   I have to tie my trash in 18 inch high bundles?  I think it is time for a revolution!  This is simply absurd.
