Yes he has, and he has further gone on to slam the Democrats' defeatist attitudes.

Harry Reid has left on a junket through Latin America, that we are paying for.  He left leaving the troops unfunded and leaving the vets unfunded.  He's a peach of a guy, isn't he?  I wouldn't doubt it if he didn't have meetings with Hugo and Fidel.

Harry Reid? Well, apparentley, he's outlasting Trent Lott, bummer, but he IS in big trouble in the Senate and back home in Nevada. I don't have the numbers on hand, but HIS job approval ratings have gone down, down, down in his home state.

He probably won't be relected in 2010, or even run again, but the Democrats are expected a BIG win in the Seante next year. If he screws up again, he'll be out as Majority Speaker. History shows he will screw up again.

One of the oddest coincidences in modern history is that "Harry Reid" evidently means "miserable/abject failure" in 79 different languages including: Pashto, Hindi, Hebrew, Russian, Swahili, Afrikaans, Arabic and dozens more too time-consuming to list.  

In an even more ironic note “Harry Reid” means “Extremely Macho Politician” in French.
