Finally! Some good news about the MSM

Finally! Some good news about the MSM

I am guessing this will be the fate of many big newspapers across the country over the next few years.  Not that I care.  And it is well overdue.

I guess all these liberals can go and get jobs cutting the grass of illegal immigrants.

Palm Beach Post To Cut 300 Jobs
Wed Jun 25, 2008 at 11:40:04 AM
It's been a long time coming, but Palm Beach Post publisher Doug Franklin handed down the bad news today (thanks to Pulp readers for posting it). Bottom line:

-- 300 jobs will be cut company-wide.
-- 130 newsroom jobs will be cut.
-- Buyouts are being offered to employees with at least five years vested in the pension plan.

This is worse than expected (100 newsroom jobs had been floated here a couple of times). It's gut-wrenching.

How long before some congressional nutjob proposes federal subsidies to keep this vital news organization afloat? Afterall, the vast right wing conspiracy is out there actively undermining legitimate news agencies. Comrades unite!!

Come to think of it, I suspect Pelosi is already working on an amendment to the "Fairness Doctrine."  It will be called the "Main Stream Media Relief and Employment Act of 2008."
