Drilling for Oil and High Gas Prices

Postby watcher on 06/25/08, 4:35 pm

There was an interview on Fox News by Greta Van Susteren with Nancy Pelosi.
I listened to this last night and could hardly keep from tossing things at the TV.  I cannot believe the dribble she is spewing. It makes your head hurt to listen to the droning of the Queen Bee. The transcript and video is on the website.

Just to wet your whistle.

“VAN SUSTEREN: Do you assign all of the blame for the high prices on the Bush administration, or do you look back historically to a number of factors, including appetite by the American people, other administrations, other congresses
PELOSI: No, I don't assign blame to the Bush administration, I accuse them. I am more direct than that. I accuse them of ignoring something that was becoming apparent over time
Ten years ago the price was under $11 in 1998--under $11. Two weeks ago, the cost of oil went up in one day nearly $11. So the policy decisions made by this administration in terms of energy have contributed to this oil crisis by not accepting early on the need for us to of renewable and other alternatives.”

On the issue of leases owned by Oil Companies I did some digging and found out that Pelosi’s claim that the oil companies are not doing anything with the areas that they already have leases for is not true. Read here about how these leases work.

Never mind the price of gas has doubled since she took office promisig to lower gasoline prices! Did Greta point that out?

Nancy "Blinky" Pelosi must be a space alien if she thinks we are stupid enough to believe the idiocy she is peddling.

Drill here, drill now! How long can these idiots ignore the obvious?

I usually watch Greta because she follows O'Reilly and Hannity. I saw her advertising that Pelosi would be on the program and I had to change channels. Pelosi is a joke. All the dems are jokes and they throw words out there knowing full well they are flat out lies. That's how they work, just say it whether it's true or not, someone out there will believe it and the damage is done.

Thank God Pelosi and Reid are such jokes. It is their inept, bumbling that has prevented the Democrats from accomplishing any of the destructive policies they so desperately want to implement. If the Republic must have enemies it is better that they are as moronic and incompetent as these two.

Bushco and and the rest of his oil buddies are loving the 4.00 plus gas prices. Why the heck would he care about the oil prices he's not affected by them and besides he has more money than God anyways!

Another factually challenged post.  Bush has a net worth of between 7 and 20 million.  Clinton has a net worth of 100 million, algore has between 200 and 300 million and Obama is around 4 million.  Get your facts straight.

And Obama is the one who said he things gas prices are fine except that he wanted the increase to be more "gradual."

You are entitled to your own opinion but NOT your own facts.

Once again, you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.

And the word is "they're" or "they are" and NOT "their."  You really ought to think about your posts and run a spellchecker before you hit that submit key.  Can you even go back and find any of errors you made in your three line post?  I counted seven but I am tired so I probably missed a few.  Really, that is not the way to impress people and win arguments.
