U.S. PresidentDwight D. Eisenhower thought it was .  Why did the totally controlled GOP run country NOT change the status when they HAD THE POWER ??

The answer of course is that the GOP majority in the Senate was not being run by conservatives but rather by a group of 14 RINOs (including the current GOP Standard Bearer) who agreed with the Democrats on just about everything.  The majority was not large enough to counter things when 14 Republicans left the reservation like a bunch of headless vectors.
We've got to do a better job of getting across that America is freedom--freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs protection.

I actually think that there is much to like about the liberterian party.

The major problem I have is that the federal goverment as conceived by our forefathers most fundamental role is to provide for our national defense. I can not support a party that does not include this as a major part of its platform.

I consider radical Islamism a real and present threat to our country.

Agreed. This is the major reason I would not support Ron Paul.
