From Michelle Malkin's site:Dems prepare to ram DREAM ACT through with cloture vote: Where do your Senators stand?
By Michelle Malkin  •  October 23, 2007 11:04 AM
Update 9:45am Eastern. Via USA Today, it looks like Dick Durbin is worried about senators showing up for the vote: “Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the legislation’s chief sponsor, said Tuesday that his biggest challenge was ensuring that supporters, including five senators — four Democrats and one Republican — running for president, make it to the Capitol for the roll call. Another question mark: Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, who are trying to return to California to review wildfire damage…Durbin needs 60 votes to allow the bill to be debated. Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said the DREAM Act amounts to a ‘ratification of illegality’ and could provide an incentive for more illegal immigration. ”

The DREAM Act failed cloture vote today.  It will be put on the back burner until they try it again.  The Dems are saying the Republicans didn't vote for cloture because they do not support "the children" of illegal immigrants.  It is ALWAYS the children they use somewhere in the argument of whatever.  Too bad they don't think anything of those children who are dying at the hands of an abortion doctor.  Hypocrisy!!!!

The DREAM Act is much more than an act to support the children of illegals.  It gives amnesty in a multitude of areas to a multitude of people, not just children.

Next watch for S237/S340 and HR 371, all the AGJOBs Act, which is amnesty for 1.5 - ? illegal immigrant agricultural workers.  All 3 bills are in conference and will be showing up soon brought to you by the Progressive Socialist Liberals who do not care one iota about WE THE PEOPLE.

Dick Dubin's dream died <------------------------ALLITERATION

YES, I was glad to hear that it didn't survive the cloture vote this time. I hope DREAM is dead forever, but it probably isn't - it's just too much a pandering temptation for most of the left to resist.

An "offical" roll call of the vote yesterday. Of course, my two moonbat senators both voted YES again, gotta love the Left Coast.

Rush should praise Lindsey Gram-nesty for changing to a "no" vote today. Still a better man than my Sens., nO-bama and Turbin. Maybe he just needs encouragement...

Just like the Media, from today's Denver Rocky Mountain News:
Code: Select all

IN HER OWN WORDS: CATALINA GONZALEZ
'They say we are the future,' she says
Catalina Gonzalez, a 16-year-old junior at Montbello High School in Denver, came to the U.S. from Mexico City when she was 8 and would be eligible for legal immigration status if the DREAM Act passed.
"I want to be an elementary school teacher in special ed. They need a lot of love. It'd be really hard (without the DREAM Act). There's a possibility that I don't go to college. It would be too much money . . . I would love the law to pass. It gives us opportunity. Without it, you really don't have choices. If they pass that, we would continue with our dreams They say we are the future. So they should give us an opportunity so we could make the world a better place."

Catalina should return to Mexico, where she could really do some good...

Yes, I feel for you and the fact that you have no representation in Congress.  I used to live in the Chicago suburbs and had Turbin but I left before nO-bama came on the scene.   I don't  have any either... Arlen Sphincter and Bob Case-I'll-Vote-for-Anything-Stamped-by-Harry Reid, if-I-happen-to-be-there-which-I-probably-won't representing me.  This is a ridiculous state.  Both are co-sponsoring the AgJobs Bill..both don't care one bit that the People already spoke on amnesty.
