I don't find Rev. Wright's speeches offensive

Postby TruthSeeker on 04/30/08, 12:35 am

He said What?

*Rich White People Control America-(Is there any doubt?)

*AIDS was invented by U.S. Gov.  for genocide against Black-
(The Tuskegee Syphilis Study: The United States Public Health Service carried out this clinical study on 400 poor, African-American men with syphilis from 1932 to 1972. During the study the men were given false and sometimes dangerous treatments, and adequate treatment was intentionally withheld so the agency could learn more about the disease. While the study was initially supposed to last just six months, it continued for 40 years. Close to 200 of the men died from syphilis or related complications by the end of the study.)

*911 was the fault of bad U.S. Foreign Policy- (U.S. supported ruthless dictators Shah of Iran and Saddam in the killing of Millions of Arabs-War for Oil-U.S. support for the gonocide of Palestinians)

*Atom Bombs killed more people than 911-(Undisputable)

Well, this is either John Stewart or Bill Maher. I am putting this clown on "pre-emptive ignore" because he or she simply isn't worth the small part of cyberspace that would be wasted on denying these idiotic statements.

WOW.
We've got to do a better job of getting across that America is freedom--freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs protection.

Poor / Middle / Upper class voters elect politicians, so I would blame them....
*AIDS was invented by U.S. Gov.  for genocide against Black-

Syphilis is not AIDS, so the title is a little strange.  Nonetheless, I cannot speak to the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, but within your post, it would seem that syphilis was already present in these test cases, and the tests were on different cures (One might assume that the scientists wanted to help people with Syphilis by testing different cures to find one that worked).  Creating a virus to kill someone, and testing pre-existing cases would seem somewhat different.  Of course this is all just based on your comments, of which I have no information.
*911 was the fault of bad U.S. Foreign Policy-

This is one of those 'you have to have a few marbles loose' to even say this kind of statement.  Somewhere in your education, you missed the day they discussed logic.
1) 911 was the result of extreme islam's hatred of anything that's not extreme islam

This is where I nearly fall off my chair laughing at the incredible stupidity of "truthiness'" arguments.

Here is a little background.  This should be enough to get everyone's blood boiling.  It is a very low point in the history of American government.  But, ironically, liberals/statists draw exactly the wrong conclusions from this incident.

"Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male."

In 1932, the Public Health Service, working with the Tuskegee Institute, began a study to record the natural history of syphilis in hopes of justifying treatment programs for blacks.  It was called the "Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male."

The study initially involved 600 black men – 399 with syphilis, 201 who did not have the disease.  The study was conducted without the benefit of patients' informed consent.  Researchers told the men they were being treated for "bad blood," a local term used to describe several ailments, including syphilis, anemia, and fatigue.  In truth, they did not receive the proper treatment needed to cure their illness. In exchange for taking part in the study, the men received free medical exams, free meals, and burial insurance.  Although originally projected to last 6 months, the study actually went on for 40 years.

Look at the facts.

  • This study, involving not treating several hundred infected African-American men, started as a government run project.
  • This was an early system of government provided “health care.”
  • The study was run at the Tuskegee Institute which was founded by Booker T Washington, an African-American man.
  • Both white and black medical professionals knowingly participated in this unethical, racist project.
  • The government run program was run for 27 years by Democrat controlled White House and Congress who never bothered to stop the unethical study and provide treatment to the infected participants of the study

The irony is that the federal government ran this patently unethical study for nearly 40 years!  Yet, geniuses like “truthiness” use this horrible abuse of government power and incredible display of government-instigated racism  to promote government run health care, more government programs and intrusion into our personal lives and thus destroy our freedom.

This episode of government malfeasance is a singularly compelling case for not allowing government to run health care and a clear argument for limiting government at every possible point.  The entire problem was that the government conceived and ran a study that did serious harm to at lest 399 men and their families over 40 years!  The US government intentionally refused to treat volunteer patients and allowed many of them to infect others and die from a disease even after a cure was readily available.

Their aruguments boil down to the incredibly irrational thought that "government did a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad thing and we need more government to protect us from evils like this."

Please keep the government doctors away from me and my family!

I like what the lieberal said about 911 being deserved because someone did not like us doing something. With that logic in play... then the lieberal should not mind that we are in Iraq... they were doing something we did not like. The logic gives us perfect permission.

What? You mean that America cannot practice the same thing? We are not allowed to attack islam because we don't like people getting their heads cut off?

No, no, no!  You are missing the point.  "America is always wrong!"  Double standards are permissible as long as they work against reason, logic and America.

Liberals want us to employ the "golden rule" and "turn the other cheek" even while denying that there is a God who ever uttered those commandments.  They demand America adheres to an absolute moral standard while denying there is any such thing as an absolute moral standard.

Sounds like you still need additional "re-education!"
