Okay, so every wednesday I have to make something up for current events relating to science my teacher said it would be fine to do stuff with global warming so if you can anyone got stuff or links? I've e-mail Joe Pags he's done really good speeches I mean GREAT speeches when he fills in for people on global warming.

Here's something I wrote in response to Global Warming zealots on a different site:

By the way, with all of the back & forth about Global Warming I noticed damn few actual sources of raw data, & I may have missed it, but I didn’t see a single reference to the raw data used by the IPCC in their Assessment Reports. For example, http://www.cru.uea.ac.uk/cru/data/temperature/
If you’re honest, you’ll make your own assessment of the underlying data and not be overawed by the pretty graphs & charts.
It amazes me when Leftists call anyone skeptical of IPCC’s conclusions a Global Warming “DENIER”; as if global warming were incontrovertible fact, and anyone demanding evidence or (God forbid) proof, is equated to genocidal Nazis. This kind of passive-aggressive ad hominem is beyond hyperbole, and is, quite frankly, childish.
Any TRUE scientist will not only accept attempts to disprove or debunk his theories, he will demand them, and anyone honestly interested in SCIENCE — rather than politically motivated propoganda — would do his level best to disprove his own theories himself; not dismiss contrary evidence and belittle honest criticism.

Obviously, you can use any of my other posts here (if you agree with them).

I'm not sure what you want the gist of your assignment to be, but I think it'd be great if you referred to the recent court case in England where a judge ruled that, if teachers presented AlGore's "Inconvenient Truth" to the students, they are now required to point out some 8 or 9 flat out lies & misrepresentations in Gore's movie.

Other than that, I'll see if I can dig up a concise speech or article that rebuts GW hysteria. Also, some relevant links.

When is your assignment due?

Ask your folks if you can read Michael Chrichton's "State of Fear." It is a great book and exposes many of the myths about Global Warming.

Also, look for The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming.  Both are gold mines!  My 13 year old daughter used those for an assignment on Global Warming two years ago.
