That the bleaching of the Great Barrier Reef, blamed on (of course) Global Warming, has actually been found to be caused by a common ingredient in sunscreens.
All those folks diving the reefs, seeing large swathes of dead coral, and lamenting the damage our evil human civilization has done to this natural wonder. Never realizing (and even now never admitting) that they were the ones doing the damage.
"Coral-Killers!", "Coral-Killers!"
O! The horrible (hysterically funny) irony of it all!
p.s. If you think it's impossible (like I initially did), please note that more than 2 Million sunscreen-slathered individuals dive the Great Barrier Reef each year. That's a LOT of sunscreen.

This morning I was at a stop light, my window rolled down so I could enjoy the nice weather.
On the sidewalk next to my car, there was this 300 lb blob of a woman, festooned in hemp and reeking of patchouli. She had the gall to sneer at me, "You gotta drive around alone in that gas guzzling death contraption? It's your fault gas prices are so high!"
I threw my cup of coffee at her and sped off, leaving her in a cloud of exhaust.
I don't think she was badly burned or anything. Probably improved the smell, too.
