I've come to the conclusion that the Leftist media has decided the winners and losers of this Primary season. Exactly how is a mystery. But it seems that the mainstream media still has far more influence on public opinion than rational thought does.
The primaries aren't even 1/3 completed, and yet they've depressed me beyond measure.
Who get's media attention rises in the polls. Who rises in the polls gets more media attention, and rises in the polls even farther. This feedback loop seems unbreakable.
Does anyone other than a minority of conservatives vote based on policies and principles?
I haven't given up on America. I haven't given up on the Constitution. I haven't given up on States-rights. I haven't given up on capitalism & the free market. I haven't given up on individual rights. I haven't given up on those principle upon which our nation was founded. I haven't given up on Freedom.
What I've given up on is the political process. Sorry to sound like a conspiracy-kook, but the political process is rigged! I've given up on the idea that a minority of conservative Americans can successfully bring most Americans around to support of Constitutional and Founding Ideals of these United States.
What I've given up on is any hope that the decades-long agenda of non-stop propoganda by communists (socialists if that's what you want to call them) can be successfully stopped or reversed by the rational beliefs of a minority of conservative Americans.
Until most Americans suffer the consequences of increased Federal Government power (read, totalitarianism) and the consequences of demonizing and inhibiting the free market (read, communism); there will not be a significant enough change in public opinion to effect a return to Constitutional/Founding principles.
Now think of how difficult it is for any minority (or even majority) to reassert freedom in a totalitarian communist realm.
Who's responsible? The media and academia.
Communists and totalitarians have always understood the power and value of propoganda more than free nations.
