Congratulations on your citizenship, Idriz.

I have often wished that I possessed a talent or had expertise in an area that would be valuable to our government in this war against the Radical Islamists.

As a fellow proud citizen of this country, I wonder how you ascertained that those messages you were offered payment to translate would have been from fellow citizens, and would necessarily then be benign.

For a fellow of your apparent intellect and ability, I am surprised that you would not expect to have your travels to foreign Islamic societies scrutinized after your criticism and rejection of our efforts to thwart future attacks.

This perspective is not intended to be critical of your loyalty, merely questioning your judgement in this dangerous time.

Idriz, if all you say is true, then you should contact Glenn Beck (glennbeck@me.com) and tell him your story.  I do not understand how you knew the Government was doing all these things to you, especially sending you a nice Iraqi woman.  

Here is something you did wrong besides the fact that you have not shouted against terrorism and besides the fact that you travelled to all those different countries, some of which are terrorist hotbeds.  You moved to Arizona.  Phoenix is a hotbed for Islamists.

From what I can see, I think you have almost done everything you could to make them suspicious of you.  In today's world, they are going to watch anything that looks not right and you apparently have done several things which put you on a watch list.  

If you are a moderate Muslim who deplores what the radicals are doing, why haven't you said so?  Why haven't your actions said so?  

If you are truthful and really innocent, and all this has really happened to you, then I am sorry you have been in this predicament.  You are a U.S. citizen and shouldn't go through all this.

If you are a pranker, a college student perhaps doing some research or just someone looking for a little attention, then maybe you should get a life.

I don't know what to think of this post but I tend to be skeptical about some of it.  If he is truly innocent, then he should never be subjected to this; however, if he is truly innocent, how did he get on a terrorist watch list and why hasn't he been removed?  and/or..as one last thought..perhaps it is written by a liberal attempting to show that Rush fans are prejudice against Muslims?

Thank you neocon. I was thinking that but didn't want to say it first. With an explosive story like that, why is that person talking about it all over the internet? And notice it's full of all kinds of buzz words liberals love to use.

First, the DA approached me via an Albanian  who was a recruiter and offered me to fill up some forms for a  'Gov. Sensitive Position'. It was Top Secret. I was told.  Before I even considered the position, I started getting strange phone calls and hung-ups. I refused. However, 2-3 weeks later,  there was an add in NY Times for a translator for FBI and NSA for all the languages I was fluent in.  Fearing  gov. retribution,  I reconsidered my first rejection and   I called  both agencies and send my resume. This was more than being just a trilingual phone operator/intercepter. The FBI  denied me the position because ' I was not fluent in Russian' . That's what they said. The NSA did not respond. But the add was not about Russian.Anyway, while all this was going on, I was already working as a Berlitz interepreter in court of Immigration and Natuarlization Agency at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan - The FBI Building.

Second,   I criticized the Bush Administration  and the UN for inaction in Bosnia. I'm talking about the father,  not George W. The issue was the Balkan War. And the journalist I was talking about was Peter Arnet from CNN.

Anyhow,  thank you for your comment and feel free to ask me any question. I love this country just as much as you do and I'm always proud to be an American.

Thank you for your advise and just so you know I had no idea 'Phoenix was a hotbed for Islamists'. As a matter of fact, when I decided to move out of NY, frst I went to LA. I tried to get a full-time job for two months and the law enforcement would not let me. I was being followed everywhere. I had no other choice but to drive to another state and that's how I ended up in AZ. I did not know anybody, and to this day,  I only know my girl-friend  who is an American born and raised in the US.

Furthermore, in Dubai, when I refused the lady- it happened twice, in two separate incidents, two different women-  she just went next door. There, the Dubai undercover police had taken up a room in order to monitor me inside the hotel. She just walked in, she did not knock, the door was opened. Here is my question I kept asking myself: How did she know my name? Who told her? I did not know anybody in Dubai.  The staff told me she was from Iraq and  probably works as a call-girl. The Bulgarian receptionis who I got to talk to in Bulgarian, showed me her ID.  I asked her if I could make a copy of it but she declined.

At the beggining of this nightmare I was puzzled, confused and totally in disbelief. I could not figure out why the US gov. would pick on me. WHY ME?! Why on earth the law enforcement would investigate me. Even my family did not believe me until my brother came to visit me. They started doing the same to him. He went back the way he came in utter shock. Then everybody understood somethingwas going on. My nephew came to see me, he noticed it too. He wished me all the luck and left as soon as he came. Once I  thought to myself, well, the gov. has right to investigate anybody and maybe somebody slandered me or spread desinformation. Who knows, they'll watch me for a while and then they'll stop. Oh, no! To this day they never stopped keeping both eyes peeled on me. And it's obvious this has nothing to do with investigation anymore but pure harassment, mental aguish and torture. Some people say the reason gov. keeps doing this is because I have pissed them off big time. They can't let you off the hook now because it means they have to admit defeat. They have to swallow the fact that they made a mistake and they picked  the wrong guy. And here we are, twelve years later, I'm still their target. Jesus Christ!       

Also, how did I find out the law enforcement was doing all these, you asked? Guess who told me? They did!  They told me. The law enforcement told me my phone was tapped, they were following me and they'll never stop and there is nothing I can do. Go figure! My friends and negbours told me they were being asked about me. Me and my wife started noticing strange occurances, coincidences or whatever you want to call it.     
I'm not Mel Gibson in 'Conspiracy Theory,' nor Will Smith in 'Enemy of the State'.And,

I am  INNOCENT not a paranoid schizophrenic.

If I were guilty of any wrongdoing I would have been rotten in jail long time ago. This is not a joke! I'm not a paranoid schizophrenic! And, I'm not bragging. Who in the right mind would joke about something like this? I am speaking out because I am a proud citizen of the USA  and I know my rights. I'm not going to hunker down and take the abuse. I will always, and I repeat, always, keep my chin up. I am not a criminal. I am NOT a terrorist. My conscious is clear. A Yemeni cabdriver  in NYC  told me once there were four doctors from his country who were experiencing the same harassment. ( OK. But I'm not from Yemen, I thought to myself.) Anyway,   I got fired from a Hospital September 10 in tribute to September 11. The reason, you asked. Well, two of my coworkers found out I was labelled a 'terrorist' and under surveillance. So they ran to HR in panick and asked ' if they were going to die?'  Did they need any more reason?

Why shouldn't I talk about something which is so wrong. The law enforcement is destroying my life! Yeah, I also want to know:  If I have done something wrong, why don't they arrest me? Here I am. They know where I live. But the truth of the matter is that I have not done anything wrong. A lawer once told me, I must have been somewhere where sombody was associated with somebody who happened to be a person of interest. Really?! How the hell do I know who is sitting next to me on the plane for 18 hrs. from NY to Singapore. And how long does it take for the government  to realise that I am innocent and they just waisting their time and money? They started in 1995,  and, now we are in 2007. We are all paying for this nonsense investigation through our taxes.....

I did write to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Back and O'Reilly and would love to be guest on a show. I want all of America to hear what's going on with me and law enforcemnet. When I see unjustice being done , I always speak out.

That would put you in the minority of Muslims in this country, few of whom have spoken out against the 9-11 terrorists. I hope this is not an incorrect assumption of your position on my part.

Rush doesn't do guests,  per se. Soldier's Mum suggested Glenn Beck, and I'd add O'Reilly. They have investigative staff resources, and could work to get to the truth, if what you have claimed is true. No offense- but anybody can say anything.

For a guy in your position, you have done more to arouse suspicion than to assuage it, IMHO.
