BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

No, I doubt you will reconsider anything.  You say using his middle name is de facto bigotry and then say you didn't say that.  I am not sure I can have a rational discussion with you if that is your position.  You are the one who sees "race" everywhere.

One of the legitimate qualifications for the presidency is based on where the person was born.  This excludes any number of people.  Is that bigotry too?

That you see "race" as the defining issue, if not the only issue, says more about you than who ever created the image.  I reject Obama because of the utter lack of character he has demonstrated.  If he spelled his last name O'Bama or Eaubammaugh and he had blue skin and green eyes it wouldn't matter to me.  But, I expect you would see "race" as the defining issue in that discussion too.  I don't see race or ethnicity everywhere.  You evidently do.

I don't see race as a defining issue at all. Perhaps I was unclear. It was not the mentioning of a middle name that I find bigoted, but the emphasis. Hence, my capitalization. I apologize if I am unclear.

I no doubt trust that you are entirely objective when it comes to race. Unfortunately, others are not. There isn't anything wrong with recognizing it. On every side, there are those who focus on issues such as race, age, religion, etc. That's very saddening. That's all I'm saying.

And you didn't laugh at my FDR - Polio joke. That's saddening too.

Oh, I see.  So if I said "Chickens come home to roost" it would be okay but if I said "Chickensssss come home to roosssst" it would be bigoted.  Yeah, that is much more clear.  I guess putting the em-PHA-sis on the right sy-LA-ble is the important part.  Racism is so much easier to detect when it is in ALL CAPS.

And, no, I didn't laugh at your polio "joke."  I found it truly tasteless.  I guess I just know too many people around the world suffering from polio and other degenerative diseases to make fun of them.  Why don't you come up with a joke about Christian, conservative, straight, European males dying of AIDS due to homosexual rape in prison or something....  I am sure all your liberal buddies could enjoy that laugh with you.

Sigh... and there we go. Now I'm a "liberal." Thanks for clearing that up. Your penchant for rational, critical thought is just fantastic.

Case in point: you didn't give me one example I asked for. But rather repeated yourself into a corner and then shouted liberal. Well, you win. I've had my say on this topic. I hope you can continue without name calling and personal attacks in our future discourse.

Sincerely,
Baby eating liberal.

Frankly, you ran around in circles saying you weren't saying what you subsequently said multiple times.  I declined to "give examples" because I have no idea what the person who made the picture was thinking and I don't like to assign motives when I know that I don't know something.  Evidently you are clairvoyant and KNOW what the other person really intended.  Must be great to be omniscient.

If that is what you consider "rational, critical thought" I'd just as soon not experience it.  Oh, and then you top it all off with a tasteless joke at the expense of disabled people.  Wow.  Stellar.  Your sensitivity trainer must be SOOOO proud of you.

Disabled? The guy was elected four times, through a great depression and a world war. He was certainly a lot more "abled" than most, at least as far as the amount he accomplished with his life.

But yes, my sensitivity trainer routinely reminds me that she considers me her life's biggest regret. I keep telling her not to blame herself, but she just can't help it.

Goper, it's very simple:
Whom do you want to be your next president? Why? What is the best strategy to get him elected?

I'm glad you take me so seriously.

I am still reading this site( I may be returning if all the summer kids start to get off(see colorado Is Conservative? topic), and I know you right wingers are angry, but you need to tone these posts down. It is completely unnessessary to call him Barack Hussein Obama. I am sure Barack Obama loves this counrty, as all democrats do, even if they are wrong. I know some of you Buckleyites are very passionate and making this personal, but we need to get past this hurtful rheortic and move to a clean compaign under the Provsions of the Historic, Revolutionary, McCain Feingold Compromise.

Lets move past Washington Agenda.

Lets move to a Bipartisan Global Party for solutions of America

Lest win one for the Gipper's Party!

Attack Obama's policy not his name, and vote for the Republican Nominee in 2008!!!!

Your posts are like getting a fresh copy of "The Onion" delivered to my door each morning!  Well, a combination of "The Onion" and "DailyKos" is probably more accurate.  Yeah, sorry if we don't take you serious-like.  Not gonna happen in this century.
