and that is the left.  I don't know how anyone on the left can condone it or ignore it.    It is very ugly.

I'm not clicking on any link provided by you, bub.  The fact that you keep trashing this forum proves you don't want to discuss anything.   You just want to try to wreak havoc.  What you are doing is to make us feel very very sorry for you.

palin is taking a lot of heat, and aside from the most entrenched of partisans i'm not really sure why. if there is any ray of hope for change, its ms. palin. our family and at this point pretty-much anyone i know, all sides of all isles, is voting for mccain because of palin. and as far as i can tell its got nothing to do with her looks.

Too many are jumping on the "she's a woman, look how progressive we are" bandwagon. She really doesn't bring any substance to the table. The vice-president has to be ready to lead the country from day one, and she obviously is not.

au contraire.  She has more experience than Obama.  and Biden.  And for that matter McCain.  While they were prancing around the halls of the senate, she was actually RUNNING a state.   She has as much experience as any Governor ever elected to the office of the presidency.   Maybe more since Alaska is such a large state.  And she has a resputation for ACTUALLY associating with and listening to the citizens of her state.

And by the way, that's a very sexist remark.  ARe you a leftist?

Actually, the mantra is more like.."she's a woman but not a real woman because she's not a liberal member of NOW, so therefore, she can't be qualified."  I've not heard anyone saying "she is woman, hear her roar," particularly not a single one of those ridiculous women's rights advocates who if they were really for a woman's rights agenda would be touting her nomination.  Just why would you say she obviously is not ready to lead the country?  I believe she obviously is.   No President ever comes into office with Presidential experience from the get-go unless they are a second term President.  The real issue is judgement.  Gov Palin would surround herself with quality people and she would make quality decisions, unlike the community organizer who surrounds himself with racial separatist ideologues, socialists and terrorists.

Plutarch warned, "The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits."

BurgerMeister wrote:Should we apply the same standard here that Bill O'Reilly and Rush did when they went after Jamie Lynn Spears' parents?  Rush said "the parents here are the culprits".   Is this different because the daughter is related to a now-major politician instead of a pop princess?  Your comments?

When Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy was revealed, for example, Bill O’Reilly went after her parents.
“On the pinhead front, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. The sister of Britney says she is shocked. I bet.
“Now most teens are pinheads in some ways. But here the blame falls primarily on the parents of the girl, who obviously have little control over her or even over Britney Spears. Look at the way she behaves,” O’Reilly declared.

When a caller to Rush Limbaugh’s radio show asked about Spears’ parents, Limbaugh also rushed to blame them.
Caller: Would you tend to think that a family in this position, though, wouldn’t you think that there would be a more watchful eye as a parent to be watching over these kids so this doesn’t happen to them?
Limbaugh: I would certainly hope so, but it’s long past time for this to happen. The parents here are the culprits!

Personally, I feel the candidate's family is off-limits.  But Newt and Rove let that genie out of the bottle with Chelsea a long time ago.
