Any conservatives here have anything nice to say about Obama

Time after time you have supported the liberal agenda on this forum.  In fact, you have managed to stay on this forum longer than anyone posting liberalism to date.  Time after time you have supported Obama and his ideology and agenda.  Time after time you have written or posted against McCain and Palin.

My point is that Obama is a marxist and if you support his agenda and you support a super majority Dem Congress, this country will move rapidly towards communism.  You seem like a nice person, a warm and fuzzy poster except with Calypso.    I just cannot reconcile your support of the left unless you eventually want to see their agenda completed.  Once it is, we will have Gyorgy Soros' Global Communist Open Socity.  I'm having trouble understanding why you support the left.   Please explain it to me without telling me I'm calling you unpatriotic.  I never once said that even though socialism and communism are not Americanism.  Just explain to me why you prefer the left.

It's so easy to be misunderstood and their's so much flaming that goes on at this website.  I don't spend any of my time at daily kos - i've never visited it.  I'm not interested in sitting around with a bunch of people of like minds.  Our country is divided enough.  Besides, what would be the point?  They're all going to vote for Obama anyway...  Personally, I think most of the people at this website should be posting to liberal forums - otherwise you're just preaching to the choir.

That being said, you want to know why I prefer the left?  I don't think you'll like my answers.  First off, I'm not *exactly* a liberal.  My political views aren't so easily summed up.

I think abortion is wrong - but I don't want it outlawed because I believe the result will be even worse.  I honestly believe that most republicans and conservatives don't want it outlawed either - because there would be such a political backlash against those that pushed it being made illegal.  At the same time, I understand that there are some people that believe it is immoral *and* that it should be illegal.  Many of these people I respect.  It's complicated.

I think if people want to have guns, they should have them - IFF they take a mandatory training class and IFF they have insurance and IFF they keep it locked up.  I think that guns are to protect yourself from those that would do you harm and that that could include our government.  At the same time I respect some people on both sides of the issues.  In some communities, the "gun" is a plague.  In others, it's no big deal.  It's complicated.

I think people should treat people the way they would like to be treated.  I believe that is the most important lesson in the Bible - and if I get everything else wrong in the Bible, I hope I get this one thing right.  I also don't believe the Bible is infalliable (spelling?).  When the Bible appears to conflict with something in my heart or my conscience, I'm cautious.  For example, I have to problem with people being gay.  Just don't care.  Not my business.  Don't believe it is wrong.  Realize I could be wrong about this - but just don't believe I am.  I can't respect people who break the golden rule in order to punish gays.  It's complicated.

There are a number of forces behind capitalism - one of them good - one of them bad.  The good one is trying to get rich by solving a problem better than anyone else.  The bad one is trying to get rich by distorting the law and changing the rules.  And if your solution makes the world a better place then everyone wins.  This, also, can be complicated.

I also believe that if you give too much to some people, they can come to feel entitled - that you're not doing them a service.

I think the tension that exists between liberals/conservatives and republicans/democrats is a GOOD thing.  People SHOULD disagree.  If they didn't, we'd get too comfortable and our government and business leaders would become even more lazy.  This would eventually destroy us.  At the same time, the world gets smaller and smaller every year.  Clearly people around the world aspire to our standard of living.  So we have to find some way - besides war - to get along - so I respect entities like the U.N. - even if I believe they need to be closely guarded.  It's complicated.

Basically, the theme of the above is "it's complicated".  I'm not easily labeled.  There are times when I'd like to see things more in black-and-white - things would surely be simpler.  But *I* believe that kind of certainty is arrogance - and not at all what Jesus wants from us.
