Another proud dittohead just joined

Postby ync1994 on 05/25/08, 11:38 am

Hello;

I just discovered this site while surfing the net.  How long has this site been in existence?

I've been listening to Rush since the Fall of 1993 every day.

I'm retired Navy (1974-1994) and am employed now as an  insurance claims assistant.

I'm a member of a Republican forum but  I've been getting frustrated having to defend Rush - actually defend him! on a Republican forum no less!

Hi ync1994

Welcome to our site.

My son and I launched this site last June; so we are pretty close to our first year anniversary.  We are obviously big Rush fans, and Rush 24/7 members.  We wanted to create a site that honored Rush, and his passion for preserving the principles of conservatism in our country.

I look forward to reading to your posts around the site.

Welcome aboard!!

It's a real shame that you would have to defend Rush to republicans, but I can't say I'm surprised.  John McCain is proof that republicans are not all on the same page.

Welcome YNC, glad to see we're growing. I think I'll make it a standard to ask just what you were searching for that lead to these forums. Care to share.

As for ultracon's bit of bitterness, I share your point. Lately, I've have to make it clear to people that I'm a Conservative, not necessarily a Republican.

A few years ago, it was heartening to see a surge of the College Republicans while I was still in college, but after a while, I noticed that their cries to rally weren't so much about advancing conservative viewpoints as, well, rallying. It was mostly "help beat this Dem," or "Help support the Rep." To be fair, this was a public university with a strong tolerance for liberals and their "special" constituencies, so the fact that there was a growing republican backing at all was a good sign.

Strangely enough, most of my fellow students didn't respect the people that tried to force liberal ideas down our throats. It made situations like the day after the 2004 elections all the more humorous when a few of students sat in the front row with their 'W' hats on in full display and gloating while the professor took his soap box and ranted for an hour and 15 minutes. Despite GWB's somewhat softer conservatism, we'll be wishing for the good ol'days of his earlier term come a year from now.

YNC, if you love operation chaos, take a look at this thread:

Hi, everyone!  Thanks for the welcome.  I can't get online very often; that's why my late reply to you people. ;)

To answer the question as to how I found this site.  Well, I'm fairly content over on my other forum except that some are moderate Republicans which is the reason I find myself defending ElRushbo so much.  I found this site purely by accident while surfing the net.

I look forward to talking to all of you as often as I can get online. :)

Hi fellow dittioheads!!!

I just joined this site, and am experiencing a thrill up my leg as I type this!!!

I found this site while cruising through the Drudge Report, so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I wish I could say I was Rush's East Coast Mistress, but sadly, I'm not!!!  Looking forward to reading some fun stuff about our leader.

Caio for now!!!
